Clemson Alum here and I come in peace...

Hey everyone:
I am a Clemson alum but along with my brother (a Penn State alum) and some friends, will be coming to Death Valley for the Auburn game. Always wanted to do a Saturday night in Baton Rouge and finally pulled the trigger for my brother's 50th birthday.
I'm hoping and expecting you guys may be undefeated on 10/25 when Auburn comes calling and we are very much looking forward to the visit.
Any advice on bars/restaurants/places we should hit up during our stay? We are staying downtown near the river. Also, if anyone has a suggestion on the best way to get tickets, let me know. We are resigned to using stubhub but open to other ideas.
Thanks in advance. Hope y'all have a great year and again, can't wait until October.

Respect. If you really want the LSU experience, go to Chimes, but you’ll probably have to wait if you get there too late. Show up when it opens and get the blackened gator and some oysters for an app.

If you're a large group and looking to sit together StubHub might be your best bet, but if you're ok being separated you can find tickets outside the stadium close to game time.
Restaurants: The Chimes, Ruffino's, Gino's, Louisiana Lagniappe, Mansur's
Bars: The Bulldog, Olive or Twist, Hayride Scandal
Places: Tiger Stadium, Mike the Tiger's habitat

I can only say THANK YOU for running Bama into the ground. I loathe Bama.

Our pleasure. Hopefully, we can do it again this year, or better yet, they get beat by you guys and don't make it.

You could check the ticket exchange on the dandydon.com website.
If you are in town on a weekday, take a trip to the viewing concourse at the top of the state capitol building. Hokey, but still interesting.
There’s an LSU museum in the Andonie Center on campus.
Wear some LSU gear along with your Clemson gear, wander the campus on game day and ask folks what they are eating at their tailgate. They will likely invite you to try some.
Come early, and about 2 hrs before game time watch the players then the band enter the stadium. It’s like a pep rally. I had some friends from VA Tech do that and they still talk about it.

Hate to break it to you but this almost certainly will be a 2:30 day game on CBS, unless something goes horribly wrong for us.

Reggie’s is the place to be if you want a high class cocktail.

Make sure you remember your login information for when we're playing Clemson in January.

But that’s ok. The 4th quarter might turn into “Saturday Night in Death Valley”

If we beat Alabama this year, we'll look forward to seeing you again in threads leading up to our CFP matchup. If that comes to fruition, you'll really catch hell from this passionate fan base... but know that almost everyone here understands how good Clemson is- and what Dabo has done for y'all.
You might get a lot of "Tiger Bait!" and a few "STTDB", but that's because we're rabid, as you'll see during the Auburn matchup. But know that we really do respect what Clemson has become.

They sell beer in the stadium now so going forward it’s always the first quarter after a big play.
