Game week is upon us....

Posted by ClemTiger on 10/21/19 at 1:27 pm
Flying into BR on Friday morning and looking forward to a great weekend. Seven of us in all and just hoping the showers they are currently calling for hold off or go through town a day early.

Either way, we'll have fun and we'll be pulling for the Bayou Bengals. Bought my LSU hat and will wear it proudly along with my Clemson shirt (have to make sure it's not confused with an Auburn Tigers shirt) as some of your fans have suggested.

Can't wait!

Tigers look great...

Hey guys, dropping in again now that we're about a month out from the Auburn game. My brother, friends and I are all ready for our trip to BR and through a tip from a LSU alum friend, were able to get tickets. As it looks, there is a good possibility you are both undefeated come October 26 as I don't think too much of Florida.

Even better, I watched your game against Texas and you guys are the real deal this year, especially on offense.
Landry and OB must be thinking "what if?" Can't imagine them in this offense.

Even better, I think the Tide is much more vulnerable this year than in years past. At least they did to me against South Carolina. Tua is great and his WR's are incredible, but they struggle running the ball (crazy) and their D (mainly the DL and LB's) just isn't the same.

We (Clemson and LSU) may be heading for a playoff showdown which would be fun. But until that happens, I'll be pulling for the Bayou Bengals the rest of the way, including in person against Auburn.

As Bart Scott likes to say, "Can't Wait!"

Wasn't looking for a specific answer, was just curious. I live in Charleston and many of my good friends are Gamecocks. In fact, I probably have more friends who are So Car alums than are Clemson alums. We give each other grief throughout the season but all in good fun, especially with the success we've had the past five years.

I attended Clemson in the mid-90's when Tommy West was the coach and a good season meant 8-4. Never thought we'd see a run like this so I'm enjoying it as long as it lasts and trying not to take it for granted.

I have put all the suggestions into Notes on my phone. Again, thanks for everything and see you guys soon. Go Tigers (X 2)?
Thanks for all the suggestions. I hope it's a night game but we'll have fun regardless. I'll check back in with you all as the game nears. Best of luck to you this season. Hopefully, both Tigers will be 7-0 come October 26 and 8-0 on the 27th.

BTW, just curious but what do LSU folks think about the Gamecocks and their fans?
Right now, we have at least 6 and might have 8 by October.
Thanks. I have family in New Orleans and have been there many times. Have never been to BR so gonna spend the weekend there instead.
I think running out the clock after a ten minute drive to end the game was more humiliating.
Our pleasure. Hopefully, we can do it again this year, or better yet, they get beat by you guys and don't make it.
Hey everyone:

I am a Clemson alum but along with my brother (a Penn State alum) and some friends, will be coming to Death Valley for the Auburn game. Always wanted to do a Saturday night in Baton Rouge and finally pulled the trigger for my brother's 50th birthday.

I'm hoping and expecting you guys may be undefeated on 10/25 when Auburn comes calling and we are very much looking forward to the visit.

Any advice on bars/restaurants/places we should hit up during our stay? We are staying downtown near the river. Also, if anyone has a suggestion on the best way to get tickets, let me know. We are resigned to using stubhub but open to other ideas.

Thanks in advance. Hope y'all have a great year and again, can't wait until October.
