Stay & eat/drink in New Orleans and drive to BR on game day.

During the NC game last year I was fricking pissed and inconsolable when Clemson was driving down late in the fourth quarter and did not try to score again....for that I will never forgive them ..

I know it was 44-16, but 51-16 would have looked so much better against the unfocused Bama Bitches...

Downtown has some good bars and restaurants as well, for when you're not tailgating/at the game. Stroubes has good steaks. Bengal Tap Room is a chill bar. Happy's and Boudreaux and Thibodeaux's are fun. All that is downtown. Around LSU Chimes and the Varsity next door. Walk-ons is on the other side of campus closer to the stadium.

If you are a recent alum, Fred's in Tigerland is a pretty cool place to grab a drink before you head to campus and after the game if you want a college vibe. I'd probably stay away from the other bars in Tigerland.

Food close to campus
Chimes
Louie’s Cafe
Walk-On’s

Off campus
Ruth’s Chris
Capital City Grill
Ichiban
Ruffino’s

Get to campus early, like others have said it’ll likely be a 2:30 CBS game.
Visit Mike’s habitat
Get ice cream at the dairy store
See Memorial Tower
The Indian mounds
Football Ops lobby
West side of stadium
Enjoy the beautiful campus
And visit the many tailgates

Tiger fans are passionate and you’ll likely listen to some ribbing but take it in stride and you’ll have all the food and drinks you can stand.

I think running out the clock after a ten minute drive to end the game was more humiliating.

just from my experience looking for texas tickets from secondary markets... ticketmaster is the best. the same tickets were on stubhub, ticketmaster, seatgeek ect... ticketmaster was about $10 cheaper.. no big deal. However there fees were anywhere from $30 to $70 cheaper.

BTW, just curious but what do LSU folks think about the Gamecocks and their fans?

We seldom think about them as opponents. We play them rarely. There have only been 21 matchups starting in 1930 and LSU is 18-2-1. Our last game in 2015 was notable as a relocation game from S Carolina because of flooding. We showed them a great time before and after the game. But, during the game we opened a can of wooparse 45-24 and knocked The Old Ball Coach out of college football. Spurrier retired 2 days later.

When we do think of them, it’s mostly as a hoped of spoiler against a team in LSU’s way.

Edit: Best advice, where your alumni colors and a LSU hat. Mix with the Bayou Bengal fans, and expect some good shite-talking, good food, and a good time. Pace your alcohol consumption to personal tolerance levels, not as offered, or you may have to return for your first LSU game!

PS thanks for dragging y’all’s gonads across Nick’s face! Geaux Tigers!

Remember to remind any Auburn fans you meet that the last time they won in Baton Rouge the box score was drawn on the wall of a cave.
