I honestly think LSU would have fared better this season if they didn't have a Head Coach.
OC/DC/ST Coaches, can't be any worse.
We've had coaches trading blows, players shoving coaches on the sidelines. WTF?
Hey Alleva, wanna try that concept since this experiment clearly isn't working?

Well, the silver lining may be that if LSU decides to make a coaching change after next season it should be one of, if not the BEST job available in light of the coaching change blitz these last 2 years. Ark, A&M, MSU, Tenn., Florida, all just made new hires this year. Georgia and Alabama aren't (voluntarily) making a change anytime soon and Auburn just locked themselves to Gus with a big contract.
Outside the SEC Ohio St. is fine. Texas isn't bailing on Herman after two seasons. FSU just hired a new coach. USC likely wouldn't get rid of Helton after just winning the Pac 12.
The only potential big firings on the horizon would be Michigan and Notre Dame. Harbaugh hasn't lived up to the expectations yet, but that is a huge contract to eat after 5 years (though he may voluntarily leave). ND is a crap shoot. Could be good. Could bottom out again. ND has money, but does it still have the prestige it once had?
It's entirely possible that LSU could be THE job if they decide to walk away from O next season
There's a flip side to that argument, and it's that all the high profile coaches are now snapped up in cozy, long-term contracts.
So we may be the premier program looking, but we have a lesser field of coaches to choose from. If it comes down to it, who do you have your eye on?

Why should Travis be any different than 90% of rantards?

That clown should stick to ruining Tennessee football and popping a boner everytime someone hates on ESPN.
But he's right sadly.

Most of the college football world laughed at the hire.

Yes and we thought we were the Job before the AtM game in 2015 all the way through the entire 2016 season into the Orgeron permanent hire.
The "search" was a fraud and Alleva needs to be fired as soon as possible

Good. Someone needed to say it.
I almost moved last year when O got hired and Clay Higgins got elected to Congress. Seriously, what kind of stupid bitch mentality is running this place?

I like CT but that’s an overreaction. ND was ranked higher, had a better season, and by all accounts more talent. If we were at full strength on defense that game is different.

all well and good, but until Joe is out of the way I have no faith in us to make the correct hire.
Hell, unless next year is truly horrific, I think Ogre makes it to year 3. They'll scapegoat a new QB, new offense, and point towards the 2019 class of recruits and not want to risk busting that up.

So you repeat what a Tennessee fan says here on an LSU board? Seriously. Some of you are fricking retarded. At best.

You're going to have to defend yourself on this one. In what way was ND more talented. Kicker?
