I love that little man, but I’ll be damned if EVERYBODY didn’t see that coming from a mile away, and somehow he didn’t.

Insane move to go with Guidry in that situation, but it was a perfect encapsulation of his decision making this year.

I don’t think we should have pitched to that guy

But the dude behind him is probably better than he is. Guidry isn’t good

The entire bullpen is a problem. Guidry is just another cog.

But Guidry against this lineup is just begging for problems

Probably not the guy who has given up a HR in just about every SEC appearance he’s had this season..

But that’s just me.

Someone who doesn’t have a 8.85 ERA in SEC play

Cowan
You don't go to Cowan when it's 8-8 in the 7th inning. That would be stupid.

You don't expect Sheerin to get shafted then give up the 4th and 5th HR he's allowed all season.

You have extremely limited options. I didn't love going with Guidry, but I don't know who else you go to. There isn't a guy remaining on this staff that's shown they can go get 6 outs, on the road, in conference play outside of Guidry/Sheerin/Cowan.

I have to disagree.

You have to treat each game like it’s your season at this point. So if it means going with your best available guy and sacrificing a start either tomorrow or this weekend then you have to do it IMO.

We’ll see!

He’s always seen himself as the smartest lil man in the room. Administration better get “all in”.

Team is just not very good
Lineup mistakes were made early
Pitching never came around

If it was 8-7, yes. 8-8, no.

If we had one more arm as reliable as Cowan, I could see the argument. But you can't do it if he's all you got.

Jay is never gonna coach a series to try to win 1 game. That's a loser mentality that he just doesn't possess.

That’s a great sentiment to have in the early part of your SEC schedule when things have yet to shakeout.

“Winning 1 game” right now is absolutely what you have to do (and keep doing) to continue playing ball past May.

It’s not a loser mentality at this point, it’s vital to the outcome of your season.

At a certain point, you just have to roll with the pieces you have and hope they get it done this time. That’s where it is now.
