Saw this during the Bengals-Raiders game yesterday. It's so cool to see an LSU player (a QB, no less!) at the top of the NFL draft wish list!

That's indeed very cool. It has been fun watching him become a household name this season.

Let’s hope they don’t take him.

I hope for Joe’s sake he doesn’t get picked by the Bungles. So much of a person’s chances for success are based on what organization picks him, and no one will prosper in Cincinnati.

There are much worse franchises to go to than Cincinnati

Whoever drafts him, I hope they trade up and grab a beast of a left tackle in the same round.

agree looks at the arguably best QB to come out of college ARCHIE MANNING... stuck w the Saints in their forming years.

Having said that, there are worse teams for him than Cincinnati.

I used to think the same, but when the saints were mentioned as trade partners for AJ Green I started interacting with some bengals fans. The consensus was bengals ownership doesn’t give a damn, and they’re only going to do the absolute minimum to keep the team profitable.

If burrow went there they probably wouldn’t even try to build a team around him.

I wish the Saints would pull a Ditka and trade however many picks it takes to get the number one slot from the Bengals, or whoever ends up picking number 1, to get Burrow.

It was stupid when the Saints did that for Ricky Williams. No matter how good they thought he was, he was a RB. But a franchise QB is everything in the NFL. And I haven't seen a smarter, tougher, more accurate and poised QB come out of college. The fact that he's essentially running the Saints offense right now, just makes him the perfect fit, IMO.

Every year, we see QB's getting taken because they supposedly have all the "measurables" (oh, by the way, Joe has those, too) but they have zero intangibles, and cannot read defenses. We see guys put up big numbers in crappy conferences, and get drafted high, only to watch them crumble when they have to actually learn to throw a back shoulder pass, or do anything under pressure. It's really hard to find true franchise QB's.

And I think Joe is that guy, and the Saints shouldn't wait around for Brees' arm to fall off, and THEN have to reach for some overrated QB, and set the franchise back another 5-10 years.

For Joe’s sake, I certainly hope he doesn’t end up with shite show franchises where QB careers go to die like Miami, Washington, or Cleveland.

I’d prefer not Cincinnati either since they don’t have a great track record either. Palmer and Dalton found some success there I guess

Ehh. Not MUCH worse

Cheap arse owner, decreased staff and resources compared to a lot of franchises. One of the worst o lines in football in awhile. Hopefully they go for Young.

I like the chasing young not wins. Didn’t Saints fans invent the grocery bag look? Don’t miss those days.

I agree it's a bad franchise, but it would be kind of cool for Burrow to get to go back to Ohio to play.

A good QB will turn around a franchise. If he’s that good it won’t matter where he goes

A good QB can’t make up for no OL or talent on offense around him.

A lot of them get hurt so much we never learn how good they can be.

I saw a mock draft this past week (after the Bama game) showing the Saints picking 28 and Burrow going to the Packers with pick 24.

If Burrow lasts past the 10th pick and the Saints don't trade up to pick him, I will personally go out to Airline Drive and kick both Peyton and Loomis right square in the a$$.

I hate to say it but I don’t see Sean Payton and front office doing anything to move up for a QB, especially all the way up to 1 for Burrow. Based on Payton’s tone, TB is the next guy up. (His comment when mentioning Kaps workout)
