I was surprised to open this up and not see anyone comment on his performance. Maybe it’s because everyone last year was a hater and couldn’t stand the sight of him being serviceable today

Also Anderson looked really good today. I could see him being this years griffin herring

I noticed Christian Little had a quarter turn as he began his windup. I don’t think I noticed this last year. Maybe it’s a mechanism that was introduced to help his mechanics to have better control.

From the radio call, it sounds like he had a nasty split finger or sinker as a new pitch. I can’t remember which pitch it was but the announcer was surprised

Man, I’m rooting for the guy. He’s a great teammate and cheers hard for the guys out there. I’d love to see him become a solid pitcher for LSU.

To clarify: I thought he looked great today even though it wasn’t for long. With the staff we have, all we need him to be is someone who could give 2-3 innings of what he showed today in SEC play and that would be massive for this team

I just thought it funny that one else said anything

10 pitch 5th 1-2-3. I thought the ump was squeezing him pretty good in the 6th especially with the lead off BB. He should have made it out of that inning but JJ quick hooked him. Milam ran across the face of Braswell on the weak comebacker that prob should’ve been a DP and then Bear doesn’t stretch out on the ground ball up the middle.

All the contact was weak. Looked promising throwing 4 diff pitches for strikes this time out and his FB spots looked borderline good. I’m hopeful but I think we are deep with arms.

Little has always had incredible stuff. He just needs to throw strikes and he couldn’t do that for jack shite last year. I have absolutely no patience for pitchers that can’t throw strikes.

He obviously doesn’t have patience for it either considering he pitched literally zero impactful innings in postseason last year.

Really weird stance to take that you’re cool with pitchers walking a frickton of batters and giving free bases. fricking dumbass

Makes no sense to me. Pretty sure everybody is rooting for him to turn it around. He is actually very much liked outside of his struggles on the mound. I was pleasantly pleased to see him have better command, because his command was absolutely horrible last season. Possibly the worst I've ever seen. I think many are still cautiously optimistic at this point. Let's see at least a 2nd outing from pretty much everybody.

His performances last year was warranted of not wanting to see him on the mound…if he corrected the issues and he has solid outings then great!

I didn’t watch the game, but I’m pulling for him. Seems like he was pretty filthy to start the season (I know, lesser competition, and got frustrated with the smaller strike zone.

2 biggest take aways from Little's outing was he showed more control of his body which helped with the control of his pitches and also I noticed the velo was back up from last year. Wes had him throwing a ton of cutters and even when he went to the 4 seam it was 91-92. I saw a couple 94s and a 95/96 from him yesterday. That is promising if the control stays decent.

He like all Coaches reach a point where they lose that confidence and stop putting them out there if the walks are consistently an issue. Jay was actually very patient with Little last year as well as Hurd but Little couldn't figure it out so he stopped going to him.

The poster you were responding to is not "Cool" with the pitchers walking batters. He is just pointing out that your opinion has nothing to do with how Jay manages the staff and he actually does have patience with his pitchers and players he just reaches a point where unless they have shown that improvement he stops going to the well.
