Led LSU baseball to a series victory last weekend over No. 2 Mississippi State, batting .750 (6-for-8) with one double, six RBI and four runs scored.

I'm not a huge baseball guy, but good for him! A senior that by all indications has been both a solid teammate and (though not spectacular) player gets cut in favor of new, unproven talent. Although disappointing, he sets aside his ego and comes back to the team as a "last resort" player only to prove everyone, most importantly the coach who cut him, wrong.
