We could easily have lost 2-3 more games. LSU was very fortunate. We just have more talent than Arky, Ole Miss, and Auburn.

champagne, not sure if you are being sarcastic or not? I am nowhere close to being a negatiger but this year we underperformed, especially on offense. Too many 3 and outs. The games we lost were because our defense was exhausted becuase of that. Also beating Auburn 12-10? And other bad performances against lower competition? I am a MIles supporter because he can recruit and he loves LSU. But I dont think we have a talent problem on offense. So if we dont have a talent problem what is our problem? Hill avg 10 yards a carry and didnt get the ball in the 4th quarter. They would have had to burn 2 timeouts in the worst case scenario.

This year when I saw 2nd and 3 or 3rd and 3 I never feel confident. When I see other teams in that situation I get nervous. Anyway Les has to make a change and step out of the offense. Let the coaches coach and let LEs recruit.

Might be? If he does not step aside from the offense and hire a real OC to run the LSU offense, it IS behind us. We are rapidly beginning to more than look like a toothless Tiger. We can't or won't put the opposing teams away.

And we could have easily won 2-3 more games, as we lost all three on last possession drives. So what?

The Defense was on the field for 100 Plays, almost 40 min. and Clemson still had to score on the last play to win. Our "D" did a Great job. LSU has the most talent of any team in the country and seems to have good team chemistry. That means the Coaching has to improve and Les needs to make some changes. I know that Les is Very Loyal and hates to make changes to his coaching staff, but we need an OC that can get our offense playing as well as our Defense. Now that will be a Dynasty!

Reasonable take on things. Thanks.

Why do people thing that I'm making jokes when I list some of the things that excellent football coaches do and attribute these characteristics to Coach Miles?? I get the impression that most LSU fans think that Coach Miles is an idiot, but LSU fans don't want to admit openly what most of them think.

There are lots of NFL coaching positions opening up. Maybe the NegaTigers will get their wish and Coach Miles will be hired away from Baton Rouge.

You are probably the smartest NegaTiger that I have argued with. I see what you are doing. Don't directly attack the PosiTiger with insults and name calling -- UNDERMINE HIM by subversion. Yes, that's it, you are trying to convince the board that I'm not really a PosiTiger.

Evil Genius ! Are you an Evil Genius IRL, or do you toy with Mankind only on TD?

I'll have to carefully watch for more of your Jedi Mind Tricks.

That's my dream. Football Dynasty for LSU and the Saints. BOTH AT THE SAME TIME, just like two hot ladies.

Well, Coach isn't going anywhere. He just got a raise and a very long contract extension.

I've always liked Miles. His record has been great even with the crazy stuff that goes on at times. I basically agree with his offensive philosophy (being able to run first). Those make the best teams and we don't need a 300+ yard passer each game, but we need better than what we've been getting.

If things go south, Miles could get canned sooner than you think. Nobody is above getting canned. I don't care how much money they would have to pay. LSU is making more than it has ever made off of football and is giving $$$ back to the university. Miles can't just show up and think he's safe no matter what. He's not. They're adding onto the stadium and want those seats filled.

Hopefully, it won't come to that. He has corrected some things in the past. The offense has been an ongoing issue, but the play calling was major in the bowl loss. That's on him. It was still a pretty good year. But I've never seen Miles totally blow off extremely questionable play calling like he did after Saturday's game. Like I said, he stated it like it was a fact that LSU could have never gotten two yards with a RB averaging 10 yards per rush. It was absurd to be honest.

Why don't you STFU?

Here's a post from Champagne on Saints Talk. This guy is taking you all for a ride. He's a "NegaSaint".

He is easy to like.

I also hope that the offense improves next year, but, I fear that the DEFENSE will lose too much talent to the NFL.

Today's college football players want to play in the NFL. That's why they are in school, really -- college football is the "minor leagues" for the NFL.

double post

see response below

But, you are probably one of those idiots who have no complaints about the Saints, but want to bash Coach Miles endlessly -- a NegaTiger and a PosiSaint. This despite the fact that LSU had a winning record and the Saints did poorly this season !

I'll believbe it when it happens but not expecting any changes. Miles is arrogant person and should have made changes after the January 9 debacle.

what he decides to do with the O from this point forward will be very important for his future at LSU

Miles got a raise and extension so his future is mapped. This could easily be his last contract at LSU so Miles feels bullet proof and will be more arrogant than ever.

Hide and watch Miles not make any changes and take no responsibility for LSU performance.

Yes, I am a NegaSaint when it comes to the Saints Defense, which is now the worst D in NFL history.

The difference between the NFL and college ball is vast. Pro football is nothing like amateur football.

For NFL players, coaches and franchises, the ONLY Standard is EXCELLENCE -- at all times. Every game. Every play. Excellence. It is demanded in the pro game.

Amateur college ball? Sure, you want to attain excellence. But, can you demand excellence to the same extent as you can for an NFL organization? No way.

College ball is the amateur minor leagues for the NFL. That's why you can't DEMAND the highest level of excellence for you college team.

The New Orleans Saints need to be chasing History. They should desire to become a member of one the Great NFL Franchises of History.

The Saints overall w/l record is mediocre for all time. This needs to change.

The Saints 2012 record was a LOSING record. This is the mark of a BAD football team. Make no mistake: the 2012 Saints WERE a BAD football team. Big Tuna says that you are what your record says you are, so, he'd agree with me.

College game? Not the same standards, expectations and demands.
