I post all the time, and Aranda/the defense is a problem. A real problem, not the dumb shite y’all cooked up in the off-season about O “never beating Bama” and “get back to me when we beat Bama” and “nice recruit, but that’s not going to beat Bama without an elite OL”

Yeah no shite, but if they aren't doing a good job then we're wasting $2.5M a year.

Can’t fix lack of depth in one year.

LSU is 10-0 and you're this upset? It's pretty strange but you do your thing.

The rest of us will enjoy this awesome season.

Good enough defense is good enough for me

This idea that because someone gets paid a lot there fore his team/side whatever should be infallible is silly and shows a lack of understanding about how the world works

There's a big gray area between "infallible" and what this defense has been. Further, when you're the highest paid coordinator in college football, that comes with it certain expectations that are higher than most. That is, in fact, how the world works, and Aranda has not done a great job this year.

Infallible, no. We should demand better than we're getting, though. The defense has been flat out incompetent in several games. Brady notwthstanding, our offense has been an outlier and is likely to revert back closer to the mean next year without Burrow. If we dont fix our defense it will be a long season.

Not for the performance but for what we are paying him for. He makes almost as much as our HC

This is a winning formula. Pay your assistants well

Aranda isn't immune to criticism, but I put the poor defensive play more on the players than Aranda. Injuries have been an issue as well. Delpit really shouldn't have been on the field in the 2nd half against Ole Miss.

Expecting performance based on pay is dumb?
Yes, in this situation. So, you're telling me if he made $400,000, you would be fine with the performance and no one would be talking about how he's doing?

Unless Orgeron takes a huge pay raise, LSU will be able to reevaluate the coaching staff and go throw money at whomever they wish this offseason.

It's one thing to get lit up by an elite team because of how the game favors the offenses but it's another to get lit up by mediocre teams that are one dimensional.
This is where I was baffled. Plumlee CAN NOT pass to beat you. Yet we were scorched, but also when he threw it there were wide open receivers.

We need to get back to fundamental, sound, defensive practices. If Chaisson can't play contain....get him the hell out of the game and find someone that can.

This should tell you all you need to know. The staff sold out to stop the Ole Miss running game and they still couldn't do it.

Queen and Delpit were in position to stop at least 3 of Plumlee's TD runs. They just couldn't do it.

ETA: Plumlee is a unique talent. LSU isn't going to see another QB who can move like he can. This does raise huge concerns about Fields if LSU plays tOSU though.

idn’t hear the clip, but he’s not wrong. Aranda is more than compensated to figure out what is going on and fix it. This week won’t be a good barometer because of how terrible Arky is, but TAMU should be a decent test

Even with suspensions, attrition and some injuries, his unit is definitely underachieving. No question about it.

He gets paid a lot to get it right. They’ve been pretty good most of the year.

every game he calls for aranda to be fired. It's hilarious.
