Timing has been edited. He didn’t call it right off the bat. He never does.

Because he is a true professional. He actually lets the play develop so he can properly paint the picture on the radio to people not watching the game.

He isn’t as good as Hawthorne on the big calls because of his style I will agree and the excitement doesn’t always come through but he is better at calling an entire game than Hawthorne.

Yep! I love it.

He's definitely a Howard listener. He says that a LOT.

of course LSU "fans" would open a thread celebrating a walk-off win to take the series against the number 14 team and shite on the announcer.

Some folks are just miserable people.

I think that swing of the bat will change the momentum of this team from here on out. What a thriller ending!!

Just with the box would have been packed for it. The atmosphere just isnt the same anymore!

Chris Blair is a fantastic sports ball announcer.
I notice he says his "long I" almost exactly like JH, now.
"That ball was "haaaaaaeeeegh" to Crews, one and oh..." I love it, to be honest.

exactly, that's the first thing I thought.

There are times when I find Blair too buttoned up and maybe too professional to be the home team announcer, but this wasnt one of those times. That was an awesome call.

He’s pretty bad really! All contrived. Nothing comes natural for him because he doesn’t have any purple n gold in his veins. Hard for him to fake his enthusiasm.

He sounds like a PRO

Sheesh. That screen grab in the OP is depressing. Diet starts today!

Chris nailed the call. It was a thrill to be up there. Huge win for the good guys. Gotta keep it rolling next weekend.

I think my post about being shocked that no one had mentioned the shortstop just walking off the field flew right over your head.

It was a thing called sarcasm. People kept posting about the shortstop over and over and over...and over.
