Them Chinook's SOBs. Pissed me off this morning.

Private charter is good for me too if the price is right. 4 in my group.

I suggest we withold 50% payment until the SOBs pick us up. COD on return leg!

have any of you called Ivars back.... although they were sold out, it's very possible people have cancelled.

Certainly worth a call to see. We've got a group of 26 reserved on the Ivars boat.

For all of you that have expressed interest in the private charter..

I will have more info tomorrow once I speak to the individual who referred me to another company. Basically as cost goes it will be between 2000-4000 depending on what size boat and the food setup. The boat will hold between 50 to 100 people so the cost would be between 40 to 80/person.
Again as I get details I will post on this thread again.

Also there is possibility of private sailboats but the groups would have to be between 6-10 people/boat.

We have a group of 12 or so that would be interested. LSUDad expects to have some info from his Seattle travel agent tomorrow-she claims to have three boats she can tap that would hold from 50 on the small one to like 250 on the large one.

Chinooks will NOT get a nickel from our group while we are there after they pulled this stunt on us.

thanks for the email cbourge: i think that 1.5-2 hours is enough boat time; i would like to have everything included food and drink so we will have an exact cost excluding gratuity. it depends on what they charge for alcohol.

OK here is the official word back from my contact in Seattle.

They don't have one boat that can hold all of us legally (coast guard regulations). They do have 3 boats that can accomodate us but the cost is way to expensive. So it looks like we are back to the drawing board or the wait lists.

Im sorry if this got anyones hopes up. I do have your email addresses now and I am going to continue to work on getting a boat a will keep y'all posted as new info comes up.

Chinook's can kiss my arse. I called a month ago and was told that tickets would go on sale August 1st. Just out of curiosity I call on July 31 and find out they are sold out!
