The Advocate printed the team roster and only one LHP was listed. How big of a concern is that?

As a hitter, I’d much rather face a left handed pitcher that throws a 2-Seam fastball that breaks right into my barrel than a hard throwing righty who’s 2 seam runs into my hands. Unless that lefty throws 93+, I like Hess and Peterson who can be 94+ with good stuff.

This is going to be the most asked question all season long, because it will be hard for the haters to find another area to complain about. It's pretty much the only area of the team that's missing. Luckily we have some pretty damn good right handers to make up for it.

Yea, but it's Easton McMurray. We alright.

Two seam action on some of these is absurd

We have dominant pitchers. Yea it sucks not having an lefties, but our staff is full of young talent that will hit lower-mid 90’s consistently

This is a strange comment.

It's like you are ignoring left handed batters.

If we win a game this year I'd be surprised

We might as well forfeit the Kentucky series while we can. They always have like half or more of their lineup being lefties because their field has a joke of a RF foul pole.

If their were a ton of premium left handed hitters in college it would be a big concern.

Their new stadium dimensions are (old dimensions)

Right field – 320 feet (310)
Right center – 365 feet (350)
Center field – 400 feet (390)
Left center – 375 feet (365)
Left field – 335 feet (340)

I gotta give them credit they moved the fences back a bit, it was eerily annoying playing in the ballpark.

Whatever is after the Will Wade show had Skip on the other night
He said he that they are told to recruit the best pitchers, right now they are all righties
He said he agrees with CPM’s thinking that it’s better to focus on quality & not if they are RHP or LHP

I only caught a few minutes of it so I’m not sure if they got more in depth about how it could affect the season

It is not your concern. Don't worry your little head over it.

Id rather have good righties than risk losing some of those good lefties to the draft. The lefty righty thing is usually overblown

Even more than people asking how to watch on ESPN+ because they're confusing it with SECN+?

Red Sauce says he rather have a good righty than a not so good lefty just to have one . Been that way forever with him.

No way. When I said question, I meant more questioning of CPM. Can't exactly blame CPM for the ignorance of the difference between ESPN+ and SECN+.

There are far for righties than lefties in most lineups. ULM seems to be an exception tonight.

Mainieri talked about this in the pre season. He said he instructs his recruiting people to go after the best pitchers regardless if he is left handed or right handed. He also said if the right handed pitcher has good movement on his pitch it’s pretty equivalent to having a left handed pitcher
