When people swear they've changed, they've learned, yaw yaw, and you buy into that only to see the mask pop off - yeah I've turned with a vengeance.
For a man whose staring at a guaranteed $3m + annual salary, with buyouts of $12m, $8.5m, and $6m for the next three years...he sure acts...anxious?
Well, whatever it is, given the fact that the money is essentially guaranteed, a blind man can see that O is not above resorting to doublespeak and diverting blame away from himself, in the same breath he's claiming "sole responsibility" as HC, and "no pointing fingers."
I've seen enough, I imagine most rational people with critical thinking skills have seen enough, too, and now we have to persevere through this situation best we can. His behavior under duress tells me plenty.
But first things first.

He has a winning record in his first year through the first 5 games.
3-2 after BY FAR the easiest stretch on the schedule, with a blowout loss to Mississippi State and and a loss to TROY.
Yeah, that's really a confidence booster.

Well yeah - I'm right there. I didn't want this hire and now it is turning out to be a shite storm.
And its not like you can rebuild as fast as you can tear down. I want to stay on the top of the hill.

I'd argue with you that fans should get off his arse, but it wouldn't do any good. I hope you're wrong about O and hope he succeeds. Our 2018 recruiting class will make or break this program. I we can bring in a top 10 recruiting class with all the negativity surrounding the program, it will truly be amazing.
If we don't fill several MAJOR needs (OL, DL, RB, WR), then our lines will be shite for many years to come. Shitty lines = shitty play.
O ain't going anywhere for several years. He's not going to resign and LSU can't afford to buy him out on top of Les. You don't have to get on board, just stop trying to sabotage the program for many years to come. 2018's recruiting class is make or break.

I never dismissed it, and maybe this was wishful thinking, but I felt he sincerely saw how he screwed up with that post, dabbled too much and knew how to differently approach the HC position this go around. Plus, his interim records at USC and here were just tossed out the window which I didn't think was fair.
I thought it was a red flag that he seemed to feel he was too good to get a low prestige job to prove that he'd learned. Ok, Syracuse doesn't want you? Go to UTSA, or USD, or a FCS school. I criticize him a lot but he's good enough at what he does to coach somewhere.
It seemed to me as if he felt he was too good to prove his worth at a lower level, when legendary coaches coached at that level before they were great. It's as if he was making an tacit acknowledgement that he doesn't have the goods to succeed without major infrastructure advantages.

You are dismissing it in your stupid arse post, saying "blah blah blah" as if complaints about O's Ole Miss record was irrelevant and/or tiresome for you to hear. So shut up. It was valid argument that you were too big of an a-hole to consider.
Also, O's interim coaching record is meaningless. Interim coaching is not real head coaching. O didnt do shite - players are always motivated when their head coach gets shite-canned you bumbling a-hole. Those players loved Miles, and played their hearts out when Miles was fired. Figure it out Rantard.

Sabotage?
O is doing that all by himself. Or do you not follow his public statements?

i was dumbfounded when it was announced. i decided to give coach o a chance because i didn't have a choice. i root for lsu.
now i find myself wanting coach o gone and wanting lsu to win. i hope ed is gone at the end of the season, but i just can't root against my tigers. felt the same to some degree with miles after 1/9/12, but that's was because of underachieving. orgeron is a complete failure.
i don't feel like a different person, but i hope orgeron is gone at years end.
damnit.

Definitely have done a 180. It wasn't that we lost to State but how we didn't even look competitive. The Troy loss sealed CEO's fate IMO.

This team played it's arse off for O last year. I mean, "night and day" doesn't even begin to describe what we're seeing now. Guice was all about O and now he can't be bothered.

From here on out, when someone says they've changed their ways but they end up making the same mistakes, it will be known as "pulling an Ed Orgeron".

The team would've gone on the same run regardless of who was the coach. Things lined up perfectly for it to appear that O had turned the team around.
The turnaround can be easily explained simply by looking at the win percentage/team statistics of who we played after Auburn.

I've stated this before, I was genuinely upset about the Orgeron hire but was willing to ride it out and support the man. Even bashed the obsessive and often times juvenile bashing he got, broken record responses about his Ole Miss record, blah blah blah.
This is me. We've come late but at least we've come.

Here's what people are overlooking with that and I kept pointing it out last season: the teams we were supposed to beat handily..........we were beating handily. Towards the end of Les' tenure his teams had a knack of making games close that had no business being so. Alabama and Florida were obviously disappointing, but we were running teams off the field. I had missed that and it gave me hope that we had the opportunity to make that crucial step towards being a relevant program again.
