I like Chase even though he opted out. But this is not the truth. He was gonna sit 3-4 games for failing a drug test and didn’t want the negative attention.

This is what happened and I have zero issue with his decision to sit out, personally. I think it was the smart decision even if he just sat out for NO reason. Some on here can't handle when truth is spilled though. They always think it's just somebody hating and trying to make a kid look bad.

I didnt like that he opted out.

But at least he did it before the season started.

The guys that opted out halfway through or at the end with no valid reason are the ones that aggravate me.

Yeah, but he's young and healthy, so covid is not really relevant, right? It's all a myth, a government scam to control people, right?

asthma, he did a lot more damage to his reputation not saying anything about it for 8-9 months.

Yep. Damaged his reputation so bad he dropped all the way to the 5th pick of the draft. Even fell down the being the first WR drafted.

His rep may never recover.

I don’t blame anyone for opting out of the season with all the protocols.

I am assuming his failed drug test was Marijuana. Strange you have asthma in your history and you smoking.

Well if he's's that concerned about his health and Covid. Why is he playing now? Covid is still around and vaccinated people has caught Covid after the vaccine>

If he wasn't fit to play due to "Health" reasons LSU wasn't putting him on the field.

He said in the interview it was "1 of the reasons he opted out". We can guess the others.

Who views his reputation as damaged? A few LSU fans on TD? The kid was still a top 5 pick, and one of the most popular players in this draft. His reputation is far from damaged.

I was upset when he opted out. But this interview definitely changed my view on his choice. He didn’t want to opt out. His health forced that decision. I can respect that and I appreciate what he’s done for this program.
Phew!

Got damn there are some terrible takes ITT.

Good for Chase. He obviously made a wise decision. Can’t wait to see Joe slinging it to him again.

Not sure why there’s so much animosity towards chase. Did it suck that we lost a ton of guys last year? Of course but I’m super thankful to have seen the 2019 team and last year was barely above exhibition level
