Not sure if y’all saw this, but he is at risk of being suspended for part of the CWS
quote:

Early this morning, Tony Vitello received word that Chase Burns throat slashing gesture last night will be under review by the NCAA board this week. If the board determines it was a direct taunting to USM, he could face suspension during part of the World Series in Omaha.

What a dummy

If it wasn't called at the game, it wasn't egregious enough to be direct taunting.

He was damn near all the way in his dugout when he did it and was facing only his teammates.

Or it was not seen by the umpires. But I also think if you give so much credit to what the call was on the field. How can you go back 24 hours and say we have a problem.

Unbiased lover of the game here. There were CHILDREN watching for Pete sake! My 6 year old saw this and then ran to grab a kitchen knife! A suspension isn’t good enough lock him up!

Someone think of the kids for once!

That's my point. If it wasn't seen by any of the umpires, it wasn't egregious enough to be direct taunting.

It's all moot as it was a joke tweet though.

That guy is a jokester. When the USM/TN game Saturday was postponed to Sunday, USM was up 4-0. He tweeted out that the game would be reset to 0-0 and so many USM fans got mad that USM had to tweet specifically that the game would not be reset to 0-0

That would be ridiculous if he gets suspended.

ETA: ok it’s satire. That’s pretty good

Burns is a gigantic douche but NCAA is in the wrong for this. A lot of 18-22 year olds are douches. I was one of them in college.

Weak sauce. Sports are emotional and the kid showed emotion. This isn't any worse than what Angel Reese did and most on here supported her.

Let the boys play.
