why not just let lane finish coaching the rest of the way if you’re gonna allow Weis?

Yeah I'm waiting for a logical explanation on this one. I work with an OM guy and we 've been discussing this whole thing for a couple of weeks now and he was absolutely appalled when I said they should have just let Lane coach the playoffs. Yet he's ok with Weis coaching? It doesn't make any sense.

When he calls a dive up the middle on 4th and 11 with the game on the line you’ll know why

The boosters hate Kiffin. That’s why all of this happened. That’s the only reason why all of this happened. Everyone else was welcome to stay with double pay.

This was an emotional reaction from the boosters and they didn’t give a frick what it cost.

So the assistants can coach but the HC cant?

They didn't think this through rationally - they chose emotion and petulance. Glad we got Lane early though - When your enemy is making a mistake, let him.

I expect the same media that has called out Lane for being ridiculous in wanting to stay and finish coaching his team to call out Ole Miss for making this “Ho” move

Ole Miss legitimately was at risk of missing the playoffs without an offensive staff. They had to make this move. They played themselves.

I think we deserve an apology from the national media.

The only reason OM is allowing this is so they arent completely fricked. Lane and LSU allowing this are simply doing them a courtesy.

So all these guys are just gonna jump on a plane after the playoff? What’s going on?

If they are going to do this why not just let Lane coach the team. This is some backwards logic?

So LSU is letting OM borrow 3 coaches? Well that doesn’t fit their narrative

You do it for the players. Not the fans. They are emotional children...EVERY fanbase

Lane hasn't earned the reputation as the most trustworthy guy. I'm sure Ole Miss didn't love the idea of their HC coaching their team with an eye towards the future for a conf. rival. An assistant coach is a little different animal because he's not necessarily a primary recruiter.

Plus, OM got leveraged into a box when Lane took basically the entire offensive staff. Don't think that wasn't on purpose as an FU to Ole Miss. Regardless, it's the right move by OM to swallow their ego and do this to give their team a chance in the CFP.
