What are the chances we host a regional? If no host then where are we likely to go?

They’re moving the CWS to BR this year since we’re so hot right now... according to my sauces.

It would be BS if we did just from a results standpoint, but the NCAA loves money and hosting in BR would be a lot more tickets sold so I wouldn’t put us past a really outside shot if we win today

We aren't just looking at a regional host here, we are talking national seed if we beat Ole Miss today. #2 overall is what I'm being told.

If we win today, Really low, but still possible. I’d say <5%. If we lose, not happening.

With as many teams as the SEC will likely get in to the tourney, someone will have to travel. I’d bet the committee would love to pair LSU with another powerhouse on the West coast: Stanford or Oregon St.

on host. Go? Who knows. Probably be dicks and send them out West. You know how much Tanner loved LSU.

0%, no chance. We aren't even close to hosting RPI wise

They won’t send lsu to Stanford or Oregon state and basically reduce lsu travel to family only. Texas, USM, or somewhere that most fans can teavel is what they will do so the lsu fanbase can drastically increase attendance in those regionals

This is true......

IMHO if we get a 2 seed and win a Regional by beating a Superseed we could displace that Superseed’s right to host a Super Regional and become Super Regional hosts ourselves....

But that team we displace can’t be some wimp team but a high nationally ranked team like an Ole Miss, Florida, etc.

Any chance LSU could host as a 2-seed?

Zero chance to host a regional. If we win today maybe getting a second seed is possible though. Which means we could host a super regional if some upsets happen

No chance, but with a win today it would be a lot closer than a lot of the people on this board would acknowledge. LSU has a comparable and, in a few cases, better resume than some of the teams that are serious contenders to host and you could make an argument that they would be among the top 16 teams. Unfortunately, there are way too many good teams from the SEC that would host ahead of LSU this year and the NCAA isn't going to give half of the host sites to SEC schools, which is about what it would take for LSU to host.

So 16 teams host. You really think we went from not really being completely sure we were even IN the tourney until winning 2nd sect game...to hosting? Really?
