Yes you can. We scored 2 runs and had 13 hits in 18 innings against them.

and the same exact lineup that scored 2 runs and 13 hits in 18 innings against them.

With at least 4 Louisiana teams headed for regionals it would be nice if they would spread them out but you know they won't.

You do know they were in the Baton Rouge Super Regional last year?

Mid week games in the middle of SEC play while the players are also in the middle of their school week is not equal to playing in a regional with your ace on the mound with no school to worry about before or after the game.
The thing I really think people forget about during mid week games is you don't know what kind of test or school work these college kids might have on their minds and a mid week game against a non sec team might come secondary at the time.

That's super regional...they weren't placed in Baton Rouge.

I think ULL will get a host just based on RPI and teams that are on the border of hosting keep losing. I see Tulane as the 2 seed in Baton Rouge

OK. I'm sure they are all stressing over their sports management classes, which just about half the team majors in, which is code for, future player/coach/pharmaceutical sales career.

They aren't stressing over the silly multiple choice tests that they probably have in every class where the teacher goes over the actual tests the day before.

This major is literally for student athletes. If you think they are going to make this course work difficult, so guys, some of which wouldn't even get accepted into the university if not for sports b/c of their academics, on the football team, basketball team, and baseball team have to struggle to get by in the classroom in order to play on Saturday's and make the university money, you need to open your mind up a little.

Because the last non-West host is apparently coming down to ULL and Tulane, the chances are highest that one hosts while the other is their No. 2 seed.

As for LA Tech, there is just as good of a chance they get sent to Starkville as there is to BR.

If we don't host, that is probably why (midweek losses), but if we win the first 2 (3) games of the AAC Tournament and ULL doesn't do well in the Sun Belt, I think we host. Our RPI is 27 and went from 35 or 36 to 27 after beating Houston twice, and UH's RPI was in the 60s. At 39 or 40-17, RPI between 22-25, ranked 11-14, with our overall resume, I think we have a very good shot.

There's a much better chance ULL does what they need to do to "keep" the host spot they probably "have" now simply because their conference tourney competition is less than Tulane's.

Either way, I bet Wave goes to Laffy as a No. 2, or vice versa.

if lsu gets a national seed, i think tulane would be too strong of a 2 to end up in BR (not that the committee always consistently uses this logic).

and also, i don't think it would be fair to lsu to send them a 2 seed that has already beaten them twice this season

If Tulane wins its conference tourney, I could see them hosting. USM had been penciled to host just about all season and they slipped up. They probably won't be hosting now. I don't see Rice hosting now either.

tulane has a brand new opportunity to host now. i agree. those southern miss and rice spots might be open.

tulane also blasted southern miss twice this season, has a good record against rpi top 50 and 100, and has lost one weekend series all year

their shitty midweek losses have hurt their rpi. but i think what you do on the weekend certainly matters more. hopefully the committee recognizes that.

So the kids at Tulane (a much better academic institution) don't have those issues midweek?

I know a lot of people would hate it but an all louisiana regional would be cool to me. Either Tulane or ULL as the 2 with tech at the 3 and somebody like northwestern or southeastern win their conference tournament and be the 4.

Tulane is much more focused on US News University rankings than is LSU. As such they are loath to let a kid fail out because that is one of the key ranking metrics. Yes, believe it or not, if your school fails 20% of the kids because it's a hard school then it's ranking goes DOWN.

Because of this, it's a lot harder to fail out of Tulane than LSU. So the question of which is a better academic institution is actually a complicated question. No doubt Tulane's students tend to be smarter and more motivated. But at LSU there is no coddling going on.

You are a pussy. Thank god our players aren't pussies like some of our "fans". LSU should never be afraid of Tulane under no circumstance especially with us hosting the regional.
