I think after coming back this year, and given his incredibly hard effort on the court and team play, I think his jersey needs to be retired. I say 60% it will be retired.

Arent there only 4 or 5? Also Macklin just got in after being an ALl American twice, something Taz has 0 of.

I say 0 chance.

Edited to add 0% chance for sure.

To have a jersey retired at LSU, an athlete must have completed intercollegiate competition for LSU a minimum of five years prior to nomination. Athletes must have demonstrated truly unusual and outstanding accomplishments, exceeding and in addition to all criteria used for Hall of Fame selection. The athletic performance must be considered unique, such as winning of a Heisman Trophy or National Player of the Year award, and should be based on the total LSU career. Athletes may also be considered for making dramatic impact on the popularity of his or her sport or for significant participation in positive change in LSU Athletics. Nominees must have a unanimous vote of support from the Hall of Fame committee

Would he even start this year for Kansas, Syracuse, or Kentucky?

What I find humorous is that his last year at Denham Collis Sr was hyping him as a possibly going straight to the NBA via the lottery. I remember talk on the call in shows about it etc. I like Taz but he is going to have a hard time making a nba roster next year.

There was a lot of talk of Tasmin skipping college and going straight to the NBA when he was a senior in highschool. I remember watching Denham play a game in the PMAC where he had to start bringing the ball down himself because the opponent was triple and quadrupole teaming him and his teammates couldn't get the ball to him

The chances are slim and none, and slim just left the building.

if there were 3 and 4 people on him, then why didn't his teammates just take open shots all night?

You're kidding right? He couldn't hold Shaq, Pete, Rudy, Bob, or even Seimone's jock straps.

Why wouldn't the probable third leading scorer and third 2000 point scorer and top 6 career rebounder in school history not qualify for having his jersey retired?

Roll player as a Fresh and Soph....and not enough Accolades.

There would be other's that would get consideration before Taz.....and they won't get it either.

Well, if accolades is part of the criteria then he wuld not qualify. Consistency over a career should be a more relevant consideration. Retirement of a jersey should give great credence to high ranking on career lists, particularly when the player is the next in line statistically behind other jersey retirees.

I'd just think some others would be considered before Taz......but I agree to some extent to what you're saying.
