They weren’t always in the right position but man those boys were flying around and each of them saved TD’s. The future of the D is bright, especially next year!

Fehoko
Alexander, shelvin
Lawrence
Chaisson, Thornton
Phillips, Taylor
White
Divinity
Greedy
Fulton, Surtain Jr.
Delpit
Monroe (idk why he wasn’t starting over Battle to begin with)

I would say we have a bright future on O as well with all of our athletes but we’re still gonna be garbage on that side until proven otherwise

Does next years D have any offensive plays? Can they score touchdowns consistently?

Off season the babies are going to have to grow up. Chaisson needs some beef to that frame.

Concur with the personnel, but we need a pass-rusher, preferably two, to step up. W/O Key we can't get pressure w/o blitzing and leaving ourselves vulnerable to screen passes, etc.
Hoping Chaisson and JUCO Moore make big impacts next season.

Chaisson was a liability against the run and needs to get stronger and better. I saw ND using a Tight End to block him out of the play on multiple sweeps his way. No way a DE should be blocked one on one by a Tight End.

the defense should be good enough to keep us in any game next year

I just worry about the offense, as usual

They are talented, but I believe Monroe will start next season. He’s been impressive in games and they say incredible in practice.

I thought Chaisson played extremely well yesterday. Thorton made some good plays but seemed to get lost in traffic a few times. Expected though. Aranda will coach him up

Georgia had a good D also but Oklahoma put up points. Therefore if you cant score with the big boys you arent one.
I think we are good on Offense next year also though so no worries.

It's not his fault, but Chaisson was VERY over-hyped this year. He really did nothing of note and certainly his play didn't look like he was the next "Key". Hopefully an offseason and the experience he gained this year will pay dividends. But it's unfair to hold the kid to expectation of being the next Key. He's nowhere close to that level yet. Thornton had moments, but LSU has a lot of question marks going into next season as to who, if anyone, will be able to get pressure off the edge. The good news is that LSU SHOULD be very strong up the middle

Getting the full O-line to return would be HUGE in light of the fact LSU is breaking in virtually an entirely new group of skill players. For better or worse, the offense will likely look different for the first time in several years. Really for the first time since 2012 (perhaps before) LSU doesn't have a proven RB that you know can carry the load. If this offense is going to be successful it's probably going to have to be through the air. Chark and Gage were know commodities, but I think LSU has more than enough good WR's to fill the void. The question is A. Can Ogeron find a OC he ceeds TOTAL control to? and B. Can Brennan make plays in the passing game (even if there are some mistakes that come along with it). The days of LSU just needing a game-manager at QB are over. Brennan must be a big playmaker if LSU is going to have any success next season.

Fair, but how many DE's have you EVER seen with a PBU 25 yards downfield in good position? I was thinking...

Auburn put up 40 and 500 yards of offense against UGA. One of the few teams with a pulse they played all year

While I am excited for the future.
I will settle for them not giving up late 4th quarter leads.

Did you see play Phillips made on pass near sideline. Thought it was a sure TD. Dude has springs in his legs.
