I guess it really depends on the severity of the break. In many instances, broken leg is better than torn ACL, from a recovery length standpoint.
I think anyway.

correct me if I'm wrong but - a broken leg is one thing. A broken leg with open exposed nerves is quite a bit worse.

"Jones was scheduled for surgery this morning, and his condition has since reportedly been upgraded to "guarded." We extend our prayers for a recovery as speedy as his strides down the sideline, and hope you'll all keep Jones, his family, and the LSU and Giants communities in your thoughts this weekend."

How many details of the accident have been confirmed? Prayers to Chad Jones.

Hopefully he's ok, but if something happens to his leg at least he still has his pitching to fall back on.

Awful to hear this, hope he pulls through and it's not as bad as it looks

It will be a while before he plays ball again
with nerves exposed there is a high possibilty he will not be able to play football ever again. Hopefully the bone is able to heal back into a normal form because if it misheals he will most likely never play football again. This absolutely sucks for him, prayers sent! And especially since he just came to agreement on his contract with the Giants. Good luck Chad, hope for a miracle recovery!

Chad Jones was taken to the Trauma Center at LSU Public Hospital in guarded condition, said New Orleans Emergency Service spokesman Jeb Tate.
"Our paramedics responded to a motor vehicle crash at Carrollton & Toulouse this morning around 6:15," Tate said. "Our paramedic rescue division, along with NOFD, extricated a 20-year-old male from a vehicle with a significant amount of damage. Once the patient was freed from the vehicle, our paramedics transported him to the LSU Trauma Center in guarded condition.
“We use guarded to denote a condition between critical and stable.”

Got close friend working there and said pretty bad. Talks about possible amputation. Will let everyone know.
Tell your friend this is a HIPPA violation and they could lose their job over this
