The photos at WWL don't make the left leg look like it's in that bad of shape (just by the picture). Perhaps it was right leg?

I can believe that part. Posting the video on a station's web site is somewhat surprising.

I would assume an upper leg injury would be easier to come back from than a lower leg injury. Any doctors on here know?

upper would be tougher with nerve damage and the muscle structure

Good news- the injury seems to be just to the extremity so he should make it out ok from a medical standpoint. Bad news is that he may never play again. But his life is obviously more important.

ESPN is reporting broken leg
So hopefully it's the worst of the injuries and the surgery can fix that
It will take time to heal, but better be fighting to heal than the alternative

per text alert:

If he was hard on the brakes at impact then he probably would have been breaking with the right leg so at impact his body would have continued to move forward as the car was stopping and the engergy would be absorbed in the leg. Especially if no seat belt was worn.

Why those nascar drivers say before a collision they release the steering wheel and pull their legs back so nothing is in tension.

My kids will be shaken up. Chad Jones is their favorite player.

Hoping for the best for the Tiger. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

he was asleep at the wheel, that coupled with the picture of the car lead me to believe that the brakes were never applied

Med pros, correct me if I'm wrong but - a broken leg is one thing. A broken leg with open exposed nerves is quite a bit worse.

Left handed pitchers push off the mound with the left leg.

agreed.

they could've at least waited until he becomes stable....at the very least. i watched it but don't think it should've been released.

Praying for Chad.

Hope that the surgeons are able to save the blood flow to his leg so he can fully recover.
