His size and speed are gonna wow them at the combines
he didn't look too speedy this year
for his sake i hope he just got a lil chunky during baseball and never got slim again

Actually, after the poor year he had this is a mistake. Could not even be drafted. If this year is any indication of his future play then we are OK that he goes. He missed a lot of tackles.

I and a friend met Al and Patti during the 2007 Kentucky game weekend in Lexington, grade A classy people. Happy for the Jones family, wish them the best in the NFL.

I agree that he often did not "look speedy" on the field this year. I don't know whether it was scheme or coaching or his lack of execution or what, but he often appeared to be out of position and therefore not a playmaker. He's fast though, especially for his size, and he's going to grade high at the combines I think.

he didnt, but he has time to get into shape and show the supposedly 4.4 speed that he is rumored to possess

He and his family left today for San Diego to train at one of those facilities that specializes in draft prep.

I'm on the opinion that he's one of the more overrated football players we've had here lately.
It would be nice to have him back but this doesn't kill the defense, either. he's a solid free safety but he's far from great.
He is a great athlete and would be better suited going into baseball because he is much better pitching prospect then NFL safety.

If he will in fact take the time to get into prime physical condition. He didn't do such a bang up job this season on the physical conditioning.

won't be long before TT is gone too

Could he transition to LB like Urlacher?

Why does this mean he is not playing baseball this year?
Is there a rule saying he can't play baseball if he declares for the draft. The draft isn't until the end of April. A lot of guys don't sign contracts until after June(CWS) anyways.
Seems like he could play his last baseball season and get drafted in Baseball, then decide where he wants to spend his career.

i think mid 2nd round sounds about right
remember when everybody said he was gonna be a "hands down first rounder"

Think he would do better doing baseball full time. A lefty with his stuff.
So I am guessing if he goes to the draft, he will be out for this season's baseball.

After readding this drivel, I wouldn't give a wooden nickel for any more of your thoughts.
