Remember undefeated FSU lost by 60 last year to Georgia, the SEC runner-up. Bama had one loss but brought the national champions to overtime last year. Same convo between an awful 2-loss Miami team and 3-loss Bama team this year. Miami shouldn’t have blown a 3 TD lead against Syracuse this weekend if they wanted to be in the playoff. ACC is absolute trash just like the Big 12 and champion Iowa St/Arizona St.

*Sigh*

So many things wrong with these statements.

I knew there would be a bunch of morons out there who mistakenly think the Florida State game against Georgia last year actually meant something. Half of Florida State’s team opted out to get ready for the NFL. The game meant ABSOLUTELY NOTHING whatsoever. That Florida State team at full strength stomped a mud hole in our LSU team’s asses.

Also, Miami’s loss to 9-3 Syracuse is a WAY better loss than Alabama’s losses to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma.

Miami should be in over Alabama without a doubt if we take the human bias and politics out of it.

These people really and truly want to believe CFB is all on the up and up. Games aren't rigged for specific teams, outcomes for Tier 1 teams are altered when they fail, etc.

Bama is a Tier 1 team. Their losses are counted as wins and they are never out of it. The playoff is essentially going to be the CFB Media's five to seven favorite teams plus a few extras every year.

It is laughable how right I have been about Tiers in CFB for the 20 years I've been posting here.

It’s about TV ratings and $s. Bama has a lot of support because they have been a consistent winner.

the icing on the cake to the free agency and NIL clown show. All we can do at this point is just laugh

The CFP is about making money, not fairness or protecting college football. Bama is a draw over the other teams in the mix. Sucks, but true.

I have made this case for years. It is about money, especially gambling money.

Bama hasn't won anything since the Covid season.

They get in due to potential ratings. That's it.

In the 2024 season if LSU is considered one of your bigger wins then there might be a problem with your schedule and record

If the playoff committee puts Alabama in this year then they might as well write them in now for every year going forward. No way do they deserve a spot this year with the bad losses they had.

Ole miss losses are less severe than the bama losses to vandy and Kentucky.

The process is flawed

With the money you can see going around for players, you’d have to be a fool to not think money is going around elsewhere.

If we had beaten SC and finished 9-3 do you think we’d be in the playoffs? No way.

If lsu were 9-3 then they would’ve either beaten Bama, Florida or A&M

You didn’t say who the 3 losses would be to so assuming lsu would’ve beaten Bama then yeah since the aTm game was before Bama and lsu was still in the top 15

The fact is that Bama will always get the benefit of every doubt. A 12 team playoff means Bama must lose four games to be left out.

The CFP committee only cares about how many people will watch the playoffs. That means they will always prioritize a 3 loss bama team over a two loss miami team that cant even fill their own stadium. They have unlimited ability to explain away these choices in a football point of view with the real trump card being "the eye test". They don't give two shits about who is most deserving, they only care about the $$$.

They want Alabama for the ratings. I think LSU would get similar treatment with the same record. Other fan bases hate us both and love beating us and that makes great tv.

It’s all about the money. Alabama is more attractive than Ole Miss, South Carolina and Miami log jam at 12th spot. Based on the season turnaround IMHO I would pick South Carolina as most deserving and their head coach as coach of the year.

Bama did not lose any home games this year. All of their losses were to bowl teams. They have flaws. Any team ranked 11th, or 12th will have major flaws.
