I think they just about nail it, predicting we win 26-23:

CFN game preview

From his keyboard to God's ears! I basically agree with his analysis. The one thing I find interesting is that he clearly regards LSU's offensive line as a team strength. Lots of posters here seem much less confident about that. That will be an interesting thing to watch for in the opener.

And that's why they play and we watch, just to see if all the talking heads are close to the truth.

I think it’s going to be a blowout either way. LSU is going to very good or very bad. Hoping we get a good surprise this year.

Unless the offense has a ton of turnovers and the special teams struggle this defense isn't giving up many points to anybody.

I think the final score will be much lower...

LSU 17

UM 13

With a pick 6 for LSU in the second half to win a very close and hard fought game!

You can bet the farm that Aranda will be burning the midnight oil cause if the defense finishes in the top 10...

and the offense fails and O is fired Aranda will be LSU Coach in waiting........

As a result I'm predicting a low scoring game barring turnovers by the offense deep in LSU territory...

maybe LSU 17- Miami 10

I don’t see how anyone can not think that this game won’t be a defensive struggle.

LSU= 17
Miami= 13

CFN loves LSU. Been reading their previews ever since I was a student. I almost always agree with them.

So LSU fires the most successful HC in history only to hire his Defensive line coach which only lasted two years and fails to then hire his defensive coordinator?

Why? Because Vegas has it at 49. Could they be wrong? Absolutely. But these are the kind of lines that SEEM like sure things going under.

Bs. Wasn't anybody even talking about that. You think that is cute, but it really sounds stupid.

26-23 is a low scoring game? My gut prediction is a 17-14 type game.

Because people weren't assuming we were going to lose that game. I've seen you post on here. Typical negative bs. You thought it was cute to say that

Btw, we don't have about 5 key players out on d vs Miami.

I could dig that, just have a hunch it goes over, and to do that, I think lsu has to score 31-34

I'm going to place a bet this weekend on the under. Between our great defense and our unproven offense, I just don't see an over above 40.

I don't follow the betting lines a whole lot, but is it kind of unusual in a #25 vs #8 match up on a neutral field for Miami to only be favored by 2.5 or 3?
