They’re spot on. Depending on how well the offense plays, we could be higher. How high? We’ll find out.

Honestly I don't have a good feel on how this season will go. It could be very poor or very good. I am extremely confident the D will be one of our better units we've had in years. Having a reliable kicker will likely be a difference maker in at least 1 game if not more.

You are right on offense. If they actually play well this team could be really good. I just don't think anyone can give a knowledgeable answer at this point if the offense will be good or not.

so you know the outcomes of games when an early td was reversed? how fricking stupid

and how the frick am i defending the loss? I think that play could have changed the entire complexion of the game...doesn't mean we win

At what point in the game was that Ree? In the third quarter when we were already down by 20 perhaps?

If this quote from the linked article is accurate, it was probably most of the second half.

"Two important member of the defense, senior linebacker Donnie Alexander and freshman defensive end Neil Farrell were ejected for targeting penalties within the opening minutes of the second half"

MS St led by 10 points until the 10:53 point of the 3rd.

No matter how long you keep bringing up the depth issues, others will continue to point out that we were not playing Alabama that night

We were playing a team that lost to Bama by 7 points when Bama scored a TD with 25 seconds remaining in the game.

I had people who rarely if ever follow college football calling and texting me to make sure I was seeing the BIG BAMA upset in the making.

"Alabama's defense has been dominant for most of the season, but several injuries at linebacker throughout the season finally appeared to take a toll. Mississippi State's power running game gained 172 yards"

Poor Alabama. Lost some linebackers. How horrible. Good thing LSU only had Arden Key, Sci Martin, and Kristian Fulton and others in addition to pretty much the entire D-line out for the game and other games.

We were playing a team that went 4-4 in the SEC

Ha Ha Ha Ha, good one, Ha Ha Ha.

Losses to Georgia, Alabama and Auburn made up three of those horrible losses. Ha Ha Ha Ha. The SEC West champions and the two teams that played for the national championship. Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!!!

He’s right. Not all loses are created equally. Losing to Georgia, Auburn and Alabama is understandable. I mean it’s not like they got their teeth kicked in by a ho-hum 4-4 SEC team or lost to fuching Troy at home.

Spin it however you want- LSU should never, ever lose to Mississippi State by 30.

what an ignorant fricking statement by the writer.

Relax, that portion of the write up is them playing devils advocate for every team. They have to find a negative. It should have read “The head coach hasn’t proven he can sustain a program...”. But the Burrow bit is fair, too.

What I posted about LSU only having four players for 3 positions on the D-line and all the other players missing is not SPIN, it is FACT.

You can deny all you want but it still won't change the facts.

You are correct. Those are facts.

However, attributing that 30-point loss to Moo State to the absence of those players is speculation. Opinion. Spin.

LSU should never lose to Moo State by 30 even if every starting player is out.

Okay genius, how about this?

I remember when a depleted UF team with SEVEN defensive starters out came to Baton Rouge and beat Orgeron’s LSU.

Yes, LSU should beat fricking Moo State even with multiple starters out....they damn sure shouldn’t lose by 30.

Hmmm, sounds like another coaching problem. Seems a defensive disciplined HC should should have that under control.

We were playing a team that went 4-4 in the SEC, lost by 30+ in consecutive weeks after they beat us by 30, against a coach that was 1-7 against LSU until last year’s showing by Orgeron in his first SEC game as the full time head coach of LSU.

Les Miles had been in Baton Rouge coaching the Tigers for a DECADE before suffering his first and only loss to Miss St.

Orgeron hadn't even finished unpacking in Baton Rouge before suffering his first loss to Miss St during week 3 of his tenure. In true Orgeron fashion, he wasted little time jumping back onto the wrong page in the history books.

So, Alabama had players out THROUGHOUT THE SEASON, and it FINALLY took a toll in November leading to a 7 point win.

While LSU had players out in the first SEC game of the year and it led to the worst defeat in program history to a team we had beaten 23 of the previous 25 seasons. Got it

Sci Martin and Kristian Fulton each had two career tackles before that game.

And by the way, LIAR!!!!

Arden Key did play in that game, so why are you such a LIAR!!!!! (Am I doing this right Ree??

And man, as thin as we were on the DL, it sure would have been nice if Mr DL and Recruiting Ace O could have locked down Marvin Wilson after recruiting him since stepping foot on campus two years before he Signed with FSU huh?

You posted your fact as a way to justify us getting waxed by Mississippi State. Bruh they were running the clock out with like 8 min left to in the 4th. Unacceptable. Can't happen again.

You're right about the D-line depth though. Man, I wish our last Dline coach could have landed Marvin Wilson, Phidarian Mathis, Isiah Buggs, Raekwon Davis or Ed Oliver. Hell, if the could have landed just 1.

Look at the classes. Dlineman had offers. O missed out

This dude clearly knows nothing about burrow or the situation at OSU. Burrow wasn't some scrub. He was a stud recruit. Played behind a great college qb. Played great in every game he played in and out played every osu QB on the spring game. Coaches praise and love him. He just got caught in the shuffle of some really good qb prospects at osu.

LsU is lucky to have burrow. The writer could have a least put in the work if he is going to badmouth the kid.

Ruh Roe Rorge, You are going to piss off the other haters. Does the interim gig during 2016 when he went 6-2 and beat the #13 team in the country who had the Heisman trophy winner in the bowl game count or not?
