If LSU athletics has declined, it’s solely do to the weak leadership at the top!

Whether you want to admit it to yourself is something totally different, but it’s a fact!

Weak Leadership = Weak Institution

What if I told you it was, in fact, not a fact?

I really do think Orgeron is trying his best, and I agree with you in the sense that Alleva should have known that Orgeron's best efforts were never going to be enough.

But once that terrible hire was made, all of Orgeron's short comings as a HC became fair game ad subject to criticism.

If he has no control over the ability of our football team to compete, then why is he here?

Fake fans always look for something to bitch about so they have a reason to jump ship

The truth is that if either Jimbo Fisher or Herman had come into LSU and turned in a 9 win season almost every single one of these malcontents would be crowing about the great coaching done by either of the two "geniuses".

Completely agree, although weak leadership makes weak hires.

I guess you’re right if you leave out things such as lying to everyone, causing a decline in recruiting, especially when its his forte, meddling in the offense, fighting with said offensive coordinator and leaving LSU holding the million dollar bill, etc.

scapegoat

Starting to doubt that you fully understand what this phrase means.

I'll play.

I like O. Was happy when he was brought in as DL coach. Wish he still WAS DL coach. In fact, when it was evident Miles was out, I was seriously hoping the next HC would retain him as DL coach and recruiting coordinator.

But instead, our weak leadership fell for his used car salesman methodology and hired him as head friggin coach of LSU.

Geaux figure??

So the head of the largest sport in the AD has no responsibility?

That's not enough to keep his job, fwiw.

I agree with this. Most logical people will point to Orgeron getting the job as evidence of this.

Agreed, his only crime is that he sucks. It's not his fault LSU's AD stupidly hired him.

I didnt like or agree with the way the Canada thing was handled, but it affected nothing with the outcome of our record last year.

We were predicted to finish with less wins than we actually won.

Beating Troy and ND would have put CEO in COY discussions with Kirby.

I’ll be more critical of him when his teams start collapsing at the end of the year like Miles’s teams did in the latter part of his coaching tenure at LSU.

Completely different scenario. They would’ve come in to replace the culture and start from scratch. Expectations are much different and I would have much more trust in the hands of coaches that have proven far more than our mongoloid of a coach

The rhetoric of the entire O hire is “We can get anyone in here to win 10 games! He just has to let his coaches coach!!”. And we’re told repeatedly that this wasn’t a rebuild, that we had what it took to compete RIGHT NOW. We got rid of the problem and that was miles and the championships would start rolling now that the boat captain was riding the ship.

And now we’ve slowly moved that goal post after every set back to defend his lack of qualifications and lack of reaching his own set standards that came from his mouth to the point where winning 9 games is somehow more impressive to you than the way miles used to win 10-11.

Losing to SEC teams at the end of the year is a bigger offense to you than losing to a sun belt team at home?

You going to respond to any of the fair points that have been brought up or just go straight Tiger Ree?

There's no truth to this whatsoever.
