Not that anybody GAF but prior to last season my all-time favorite Tiger was Dalton Hilliard.

Now it's:

1)Joe
2)Clyde
3)Dalton

There is no overstating Clyde's contribution in 2019.

He was unreal that game. I couldn't stop saying how proud of him I was that game. He never stopped impressing. We could have possibly lost to them without ceh going off like that. We wouldn't have, but we could have.

Remember the third and ten CEH converted around the 50 yard line.

People largely forgot about this play. Had he not converted LSU may have lost grip on game.

Im guessing you mean this play: The drive after they scored to make it 33-27, we got to their 36 but 3rd and 10. 33 blitzes up the middle Burrow barely gets a dump pass to (more like towards) Clyde before getting nailed. CEH makes a nice fingertip grab about 2 yards passed the LOS. Diggs meets him about the 30 and CEH proceeds to carry him 5 yards for a first. I watched the 2nd half pf Bama game last week and rewound this play for about 15 minutes Its so awesome by both Burrow and CEH. We were on the fringe of FG range a sack takes us out and don't want to even think about a sack/fumble. CEH getting a couple yards to set up a possible FG would have been reasonable the way the play was going, for him to get a First, you knew we were going to win at that point. He really was such a monster in that game.

Cat Edwards Helaire

already posted previously but still cracks me up. Especially when a poster inserted that the dog's name was Dylan Moses.

A man possessed. Determined to prove himself on the biggest stage of his career.
I wonder how many people told him that he was incapable of realizing his potential?

Every time Clyde got the ball for some explosive play, all poor Gary could say was: "Holy Cow!"

Must have happened over a dozen times

CEH and Joey B were damn right unstoppable in that game. You talk about the WILL to win they had it in that game.

On his last TD run to the corner of the near side he broke 5 tackles.

There should be an * next to that stat, for example:

Broke 5* tackles.

* - number is irrelevant as it is obvious he would have broken any number of tackles on this play.

He just wouldn't be denied. The TD runs he had were spectacular and the last run where he dragged their entire defense for the first down was really impressive. He's just so strong in the lower body, combined with having a low center of gravity and hella balance, are what makes him such a great rb. He's going to be an absolute steal for whichever team drafts him this year. He is going to be a great pro back.

The beauty of this offense was on display at the end of both the Alabama and Clemson games. Both teams had stout run defense. Both teams recently rushed the pass for the first three quarters. Both teams were unable to stop the late run game due to their front 7 being worn out from rushing the passer or covering backs/TEs/slots. The pass compliments the run in our new approach and enhances its effectiveness, especially late in the game. Note that we were also more effective running the ball against Auburn and Florida in the second half.

How many 3rd downs did he convert when it looked like there was no way he would get it? I would say at 3 or 4 times in that game.

I was so locked in on Burrow during the ala game that only after rewatching did I realize that this game it really was more about Clyde. Taking absolutely nothing away from Joe but it really was the Clyde show. I also give props to Najee as he looked great in the second half.

I think if he would have been completely health for the title game - we would have leaned on CEH to get us out of the shadow of the goal line against Clemson. We pulled away in second quarter but it could have been a complete beatdown by halftime if we had the CEH we had against Alabama.

Did he also have a spin move on 7-Diggs in the backfield similar to the one on 15?

I remember Lavell Edwards (BYU coach) saying that it was easier to pass-block than to run-block. Less exertion, all you have to do is stay in the way. The defense has to burn themselves up rushing the passer over and over. Towards the end of the game, runs come a lot easier, as the O line is still fresh and the D line is gassed.
