Saban had like 12 national championships, so guess what you tolerated and respected his yelling because he knew what the frick he was doing

That works when you are winning like Saban, but when you are scratching by in each game, and you give a douche answer to every simple question, you just look like an a-hole
What's your likeability? Ah it took Saban 4 years to build LSU into what it became. Both Saban and BK inherited dumpster fires. BK's 4 year record at LSU is as good or better than Sabans. BTW Saban didn't have to deal with NIL and the transfer portal. In case you haven't noticed coach Gedellinger EVERY FRICKING SEC TEAM WITH ONE EXCEPTION "SCRATCHED BY" THIS WEEKEND.

The dude is hilarious if you can appreciate him being a smartass
Sarcasm is dead these days , with truth being stranger than fiction, but he’s got a dry deadpan smartass delivery that’s like “either you get the joke or else I’m making fun of you”…
I like it.

I grew up around smartasses so I think it great

He's tough to watch on the sideline. Miserable dude.
He does have very bad sideline presence, he often falls into that sad clown kind of look.

He's your typical yankee. Doesn't fit down here. Just another in a long line of carpetbaggers coming to south to make money and fame and then leave a broken wreck behind him.

This is how I know you just watch clips and not all of his PC's. Kelly has one of the most fun loving relationships with BR media that any coach I can remember. He jokes and laughs and cuts up with them. People are taking the first question from the Florida game and acting like its a regular deal.

why do people care about his personality so much. The main concern should be winning. We are talking about football not the bachelor

I listen to all his media availability and he is likable.

Meh....If the coach isn't likeable, that kinda permeates throughout the sports world.
Typically, there's traits that fans don't like, which often are the same issues that recruits see and don't like. Add that if the media don't really like the coach, then that can translate into being covered in an unflattering way. From there, it can lead to not being given the benefit of doubt and that could definitely impact rankings and playoff chances.
Basically, there are possible consequences when a HC is considered "unlikeable". I don't think the media doesn't like him, I just think they don't truly believe in him. IMHO he's a GOOD coach but nowhere near ELITE.

Perfect fit for Penn State

Only 1 coach in the sec has a better winning percentage at their school than BK has at LSU and it's Kirby Smart.
Can someone please post each coach's respective record against the top 25?
I'll save you the embarrassment of not asking for National Titles, SEC Titles, SEC Championship appearances for each as well as playoff appearances

It’s not 1965 anymore, shithead.

They usually laugh at his cringe jokes like the North Korean military laughs at Kim Jung Un's.
You can point to his winning a lot of games and his program building as positives, but you can't deny he has a prickly and sassy personality a lot of the time.

"Sassy"? Good Lord.
I can say this because I'm a Masshole: Brian Kelly is, by far, one of the best behaved Massholes on this or any other planet. He only goes full Masshole on the sidelines when somebody does something stupid. So he yells at a quarterback once in a while. It's not like he's taking a swing at his own son inside a Dunkin or clocking somebody with a tire iron at a wake.
He's like a Boston choir boy, this one. The southerners think he's Attila the Hun.
