Lifelong Miles hater, not a big O supporter and think Alleva should go - like right now. But I digress...

O has to stay at least 1 more year, and likely 2 if Aranda and Canada stay put. Not what my heart says, but I think we have to financially and for the sake of recruiting continuity. Plus, with all the changes and the carousel of coaching changes, I am confident our AD would muff it up worse than Tennessee ever dreamed of. Just my opinion.

Fisher to A&M - Yes, in '15 I wanted Fisher. In '16 I wanted Herman. I'm not thrilled with either of them in '17, but I think Herman at UT is on the uptick, while I'm afraid Jimbo is not going to improve upon his FSU record. I may be wrong, but time will tell. Plus, I would not have supported Fisher at 7.5 mil for 10 years, and the BOS, Gov. Edwards, and most anyone with any authority would not have either. As far as I'm concerned, Jimbo is our enemy now and is Tigerbait. Plus, it will take a couple of years for him to show improvement, and by then we will either be good or O will be headed out. A&M remains our bitch for 2 more years.

I am more concerned about who the MSU and Arkansas coaches are going to be. If they get some red hot rising star with nothing to lose, then we could see us battling over Bama's table scraps like usual with these bottom feeders. Hopefully, they will keep doing what they do and make bad decisions. Hopefully Arkansas and MSU are our bitches next year.

Auburn is on the rise and I just don't see Malzahn going to Arky. I guess he "could" if GA beats that azz today. If he does, then I would be worried that Arkansas becomes relevant to the extent that Arkansas ever will and that would be a concern. Auburn would plug and play a new coach and would remain a perennial contender as they normally do.

Bama- Let's face it. Nick looks tired, but he loves money. He stays as long as his ego lets him. Once we learn the recipe to beat him as Sweeney and Malzahn have figured out, Saban will be going elsewhere but until then, we either improve or stay Bama's bitch.

Tennessee- not relevant to us directly, but this is how NOT to run a football team let alone an athletic department. Unless Peyton Manning has a son that is as good as he is, Tennessee will be Vandy's bitch for a long long time. If Miles goes to Tennessee, well I see nothing changing that much except maybe swapping with Vandy every other year and losing to KY in triple overtime.

I hope O circumvents your expectations. as us old timers know, coaching searches are dangerous. the aggies got lucky and their timing was right. LSU softened it up for them; FSU countered us when we went after him but this time they (many of them) were glad to see him go; he (and Sexton) had become one big whiny pain in the arse.

Aggie has FU money and was able to do it. Doesn't mean it was a good decision. Good luck to Aggie with the buyout if he is a mediocre coach

Personally, I would've preferred another coach as well last year but we are where we are with O. If and when he loses Aranda, we are completely fricked and that is what I want to avoid - being dependent on one guy to dictate the success of your program.

I do support O and think he will get even better considering the mass exodus of players to the NFL last year which forced us to be such a young team.

It’s ironic that you hate Les because you sound just like him.

It matters that LSU has a coach with basically zero championship skins on the wall as the man in charge.

While some competitors seem to be upgrading.

Signs aren't real strong that O can succeed here longterm. that's where it matters to LSU, not to us really

Zero chance O will be fired after 2018.

I said from the beginning O will get three seasons and then a real evaluation. What is best for LSU is for O to succeed.

maybe you should do a little research then.

i bet you and most who are complaining forget or dont even know that both miles and saban didnt have winning records when they came here. both of them were barely over 50/50 wins and loses when hired here.

competitors "always" seem to be upgrading in some way whether with coaches or recruits but that doesnt mean its time to set your house on fire, run canada out on a rail and fire orgeron because of it.

as far as "o" succeding here, the man has just one season on the books here and he went 9-3 and was capable of beating bama this year but canadas offense wasnt ready or up to the job ONLY because he obviously isnt a good QB coach so everyone needs to stop acting like we went 3-9 or its all because orgeron isnt jimbo

Yeah, we can't even consider another coaching search until we get legit leadership in decision making positions. Not only in the process of a coaching hire but having the credibility to stand up to the BOS.

Yes, coaching changes are dangerous & A&M gambled a King's ransom on someone not named Saban. A 10 year contract is insane! Injured QB or not, would a Saban coached team fall this season as bad as Fl St did? Will be interesting, that's for sure!
