I would say that the vast majority of fans put in for bcs tix with the intent of going. With the market demanding such a high price, then some fans are testing the market. Nothing wrong with that. Simple supply and demand. If the market doesn't bear out, they'll go to the game.
If you're against this, then I guess you're a socialist and sport an Obama bumper sticker.

We've had trips to Dallas, Oxford, Starkville, Morgantown, and Tuscaloosa. I think it's ok we had a poor showing in Atlanta, given our numerous SECC game appearances and Peach Bowl appearances.
We'll be fine in NOLA. It's be probably 55/45 or 60/40 LSU. Both will easily have good crowd noise.

Plus, Tiger fans had traveled en masse to Dallas and WV earlier in the year ($$$), and they knew the BCSship was a done deal. A trip to Atlanta didn't have the appeal it might have most years.
This. It will not be a problem in NOLA. If I can find some for less then a grand, I'm all over it.

The only way a Bamma fan can get a ticket other than their 17,000.00 distribution is if a Louisiana resident sells it to them!
34000 split between LSU Bamma roughl 36 thousand goes to Louisiana residents mostly sugar bowl committee I think.

I had Arkansas tickets. I had a ton of LSU fans saying "You should sell them dude, you would make a ton." I had to explain to them I don't give a shite about money, I'd rather experience the game. I would never ever sell my LSU tickets to any game unless I could not make it. Nor would I spike up the price for my own gain. Disgusting practice IMO. TaF needs to keep track of tickets advertised
On the net and remove the seller from future ticket sales. If your only interest is scalping it goes against being an LSU fan. No more tickets for you.

I think you're right. And there aren't many Gump fans on the committee I don't think. Those tickets aren't suppose to be sold but for face value, and were requested a couple of months ago.

The sky is fallIng. Every lsu fan I know is selling their tickets to bama fans. It's over. We're gonna lose. Derp.

That would be some shite if they monitored stubhub for that and actually did something about it. There's nothing saying they can't sell them for whatever they want though.
I'll admit I sold my seccg tickets, and but I sold them for face on the ticket exchange to an LSU fan. I've always lucked out with getting away game tickets for face value so I continue to pass on the favor. Hopefully ticket karma will stick with me.

Plenty of Tulane fans on that committee though with greater love for AL than LSU

I've been in 2003, 2005, and 2007. This year appeared to me to be the worst turnout of LSU fans of any of them. Still pretty good, but nothing like 2003.
LSU has never travelled particularly well to the SECCG. I agree that 2003 was probably the best turnout, but still there were only about 25,000 LSU fans that year.
I understand that we have to travel further than any other SEC West school with the possible exception of Arkansas, but it's disgusting to see our sections filled with opposing fans.

It really sucks when there are other season ticket holders who would surely go to the game if given the opportunity, but don't because these guys are higher up on the list. Then they turn and sell these tickets to Bama fans. For a national title game. You'd think people that high up on the list wouldn't need the $$ or wouldn't dare miss such a huge game. And wouldn't sell to Bama fans- of all fan bases, really? I agree, this should be monitored by LSU. My .02.

you people are so negative, it was 70 to 30 uga to lsu (if it would have been 75 to 25 then our sectiosn would have been smack down the middle of the field goal, when in reality it extended several sections over, with purple and gold scattered all over the stadium.) also, guess what...there were lots of lsu fans in the uga sections too. dont believe me? go to the regions fan cam and check for yourself. every fan base sells some tickets.

They are retarded, broke college students. I'm not surprised. The difference between me and them and when I was a retarded broke college student is I wouldn't ever sell to another teams fans. At least not until i chew up the ticket, shite it out, give it to them, take their money, give them the wrong directions to the stadium, and tell them to "frick off tiger bait"

Nah. I just think LSU fans who ticket dump ate shitty bitches. I'm not convinced free market principles apply here because access isn't open.

I believe you are serious and I agree.
Unfortunately... here's what's out there -- from TD ticket exchange. Guy thinks he's being a real saint because he is not going to gouge for the StubHub or ebay fees in addtion to the 4.5X face he expects to get.

selling 16 terrace and 4 premium terrace to bcs game (Posted on 12/10/11 at 2:15 p.m.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Me and a couple other guys have 20 tickets which will be available on the 15th. Not sure how many will be together yet. Will sell for 15% less than what is on stubhub for similar seats. Remember that does not include stubhub fees so it is really closer to 20-25% cheaper. Will only take cash and meet in person for transactions. Will start taking offers once tickets come in so I will repost on 15th. Leave your email in thread and I will get back in touch next week.
