Also, shout out to Chris Blair. I listened to his calls of the big plays after the game, and he was MONEY
you could tell this game meant more

I've yet to see a good explanation as to why the conference cannot dictate to CBS that they don't get to pull the commercial break shite they pull during broadcasts.
I hate white knighting for the SEC, but isn’t the reason why they declined to renew CBSs broadcast agreement that the SEC is not entirely pleased with the product?

CBS is hot garbage. The broadcast team from ESPN is much better.

I don't know, but kudos if that's correct. So we just have the rest of this season for their shite?

Loved Herbie's tweet on all of T.S. doing the gator chomp" : AWESOME". Also liked his comment that "it's not just about being loud, it's the incredible energy and excitement that Tiger fans express all game long."

I'll be attending both the MSU and AU games just so I don't have to watch the CBS broadcast. But I guess I'll still be affected during commercial breaks... RIP

Get used to watching a guy in a red hat standing just on the field a lot.

And don’t even get me started on that gump lover Danielson.
Funny that you say this. I was reading bama 247 and they hate him because he’s so anti bama. I found that insanely laughable

The chickenshit deal with CBS runs out in 2023. I don't think there is anyway they beat out ESPN or Fox sports who have both expressed an interest in buying exclusive rights to the SEC. It just can't get here quickly enough!

Fowler is my favorite by far

Was at the game but watched the replay. The sound seemed off. Maybe they were trying to filter it out so the announcers could be heard but it made for a weird sound effect.
Anyone else notice this?

Actually CBS pays very little for the relative value of the SEC games. The current deal is pretty old and is coming up for renewal in the next 2 or 3 years I believe

Meh. They ignored all the obvious missed holding calls, didn’t question the PI and completely whiffed in the “low” hit on Trask. All of which were potential game altering calls.

So did they lose the contract or is it coming up?
Either way, anybody who doesn't think the conference has the upper hand in any negotiation to dictate how they broadcast the games doesn't know much.

Much, much, much prefer ESPN to CBS. CBS should just give it up already; SEC should cancel that contract.

Gary Danielson

Kirk/Fowler have been really good together, but Kirk/Musberger was GOAT.

Danielson is going to be riding that Bama train during our game with them

CBS still has the contract rn. Currently they are paying 55 million per year for the rights to broadcast SEC games. I looked it up and the contract is set to end in 2023. Estimates have the new contract between CBS and the SEC being valued somewhere between 250 million and 300 million. Going to be a huge increase in revenue for all member institutions.
