Never been a head coach and ND is arguably a Top 5 job in America. Name the last time someone with his limited experience landed a job of that magnitude. His resume didn’t warrant the hire when it was made.

I truly believe that, had 2024 LSU played 2024 ND's schedule, LSU would have been 11-1 or even 12-0 and been in the CFP.

Coach Kelly die not leave Freeman with a dumpster fire that BeBe left Coach Kelly.
Freeman had a full allotment of scholarship.
Kelly had to start with only 39 scholarships and rebuild.

I guess I don’t see how Freeman doing well has any bearing on what Kelly is doing. Personally I thought Freeman did an excellent job with excellent talent to beat a very good Georgia team. So what? Kelly is doing a great job here. He has the number 1 portal class. With excellent returning players. I like our chances next year as much as anyone including Notre Dame. But don’t fool yourself Notre Dame is a blue blood and stealing Kelly was and is considered somewhat as a surprise. But anyone criticizing Kelly because of Freeman’s success is simply delusional,
