They are more alike than different. LF is a little more of a bruiser (or was) and is built a little thicker (more than a little this week ) - but I can see it and definitely have seen what they're talking about during his time at LSU.

Against Alabama the last two years they said fournette ran against 8 or 9 in the box more then half the time and he ran against 3 and 4 all Americans or at least 4 all conference first team defensive players out of the 8 in the box..doesnt include the free safety position

He is the first sec rb to lead the ncaa in rushing since 1949.

Did he lead the NCAA in rushing? I actually thought Henry led in rushing during LF's sophomore year. Tell me where I am wrong.

Bama didnt have to stack the box to stop us. They have more players in their front 7 with a 1st rd grade than lsu's entire team. They loaded the box in onvious run downs but other than that they stopped us with a traditional front 7.

That's the last two years against bama...go back and look at what ole miss did to try to stop him this year and auburn his sophomore year...lol, I saw multiple articles written by guys that are old school guys that have seen it all, they were told by hugh freeze that by the second half they made up there mind to run blitz on every single play or at least sale out to stop the run every play...lol,and still set the school record...nobody in cfb history would have done much against those two Bama d's with no passing game those two nights

AP is a top ten RB all time in the NFL.

He's a spectacular talent, but according to Pro Football Reference, his numbers compare similarly to the likes of Garrison Hearst, Matt Forte, Ahman Green, Ricky Williams and Clinton Portis at this point in their careers. Leroy Kelly is the only HOFer listed.

I'm not saying AP is or isn't one of the best ever, but would any of those other guys make a top 10 list?

Derrick Henry had more Rushing Yards then LF but LF had the better Average Per Game which is the official stat that the NCAA determines leading rusher.

I heard him say in an interview that the weight was water weight and that it came right off. I think he will play at around 230-235 so what we saw was basically a 4.51 40 in helmet and pads. The problem is that injuries could prevent him from training regularly at some point and I think his weight could be slightly problematic in those cases. However, Adrian Peterson had more significant injuries in college that hampered his final year at OU and he turned out to be pretty durable. We won't know until we know. A guy can get injured on any snap.

Not very well I'm afraid AP has run sub 4.4s at 225lbs in camp. Vikings claim he's run 4.25 post acl injury the spring before his 2,000 yard season.

You're right and the word is his trainers have told him to go easy on his ankle so he's not 100%. He didn't bench press or run the cone drill so he can't be all the way healthy. 4.51 at 240 is pretty good but would've liked to see him in peak physical form.

Yes the NCAA uses ypg.
It wouldnt be fair to let someone win the rushing title just because they played in 15 games and someone else played in 12.
