As a few people have already said, A&M told Woodward to get Jimbo from FSU, money be damned. He did as he was asked. I trust him to hire the right guy for the football program.

He plucks Saban from Bama for swan song end to where it all started (yes, Michigan State was just the jamboree). LSU throws into contract lifetime bullet proof vests and personal guards for Saban and his family when they are in Alabama.
