Not true Rick he's a db specialist like Saban. That's where he played and cut his teeth. Yes he coached Wrs for a little while but no he's never run an offense, at bowling green he had Greg Brandon as oc a rising spread guru who's currently at New Mexico State at Utah he had Mike Sanford another spread guy who parlayed that success into a head coaching job at Indiana state then he had Mullen and Herman and we all know what they've done. So no Meyer is more of a defensive mind who discovered the spread early on and has hired spread guys to run his O since his first job. Ohio state is great because of their defense the Gators were great because of their defense and that's all Meyer.

That's not what I said. Most fans are ignorant like yourself and they see that he's always had a spread offense so they assume he created and ran it which is 100% false. Urban Meyer has never run his own offense or called plays lol Skip Bayless was corrected on this very topic a few weeks back by a college football analyst. So congrats you know as much as skip lol. Meyers OCs are Greg Brandon (BG) Mike Sanford (UTA) Dan Mullen and Tom Herman these guys all ran the offense while under Meyer. Try doing a little fact finding before you say ignorant shite or maybe ya know watch college football and pay attention.

I guess this entire article is a lie then.

inally, Urban Meyer was hired as head coach of Bowling Green State University and he used this little school in the Mid American Conference as his offensive laboratory. He implemented an all new offense that was 100% his own new offensive strategy. This little experiment would draw national attention as they wiped out opponents.

I'm confused. I thought Tom Herman was the mastermind behind Ohio State's successful championship offense.

It's going to be so great watching O win 10+ games here for all the pseudo LSU fans that want him to fail and for all the Ole Miss fans that laughed in my face when we hired him. Still early, but Saturday night was the first time I have been excited about LSU and not scared about how we would screw it up in a while.

How did you know Miles was interfering?

You can just tell, man. I am sorry that i am not sorry all of your bitching and pissing and moaning and complaining did not lead to LSU looking bad during Cosch O's first official game as head coach. Maybe you would have preferred a Tom Herman type performance.

He said after Ole Miss he learned that you couldn't micro-manage and you had to let your staff do their jobs.

He also said we were going to be near 50/50 pass/run.

On said he would let his coordinators coach. Canada has always said he forms his plan around the talent of the players he has and calls what the D is giving him.
We saw precisely that.

mastermind?

he was he oc under a good offense. that in no way means the HC can't be heavily involved.

11 years and multiple OCs

It got kinda obvious

and besides, the idea of the HC not interfering as a good thing is kinda weird to me

Do you want us to be successful, or would you prefer that we lose, so you can say I was right on Chicken's big board? I think you would prefer that we lose, so you can say "I was right". Sounds like you are a bit full of yourself, big guy/gal.

no one every said this.

but if you laid out his resume against our current head coach it becomes very clear which one is better.

that doesn't mean he will end up the more successful coach but it does mean he has proven more the ed orgeron up to this point.

even the guy that hired O thought more of Herman.

surely you can see why a large chunk of lsu fans were very pissed.

we go from
saban- put lsu back on the map and made it cool for LA kids to stay home. first NC in 50 years
miles- regardless what you think of his coaching he was very successful at lsu

to

O- a guy that no ad thought enough of his coaching to offer him a coordinators job

if it all works out in the end then great but I'm gonna go ahead and say it's a horrible hiring tactic to hire someone that's never proven he can sustain success as a coordinator or head coach.

Coach O's fingerprints were all over the game. The gameplan was to kill the clock, dominate both lines of scrimmage, and score enough to win and he let it play out. Going for the field goals instead of trying to punch it in on 4th down was his call every time until Canada convinced him otherwise. He made sure that Canada wasn't giving away much, he got a lot of freshmen experience, he made sure that the pre-snap penalties were corrected, he kept the team's morale high, and he likely was talking with Aranda often about personnel. He's not just sitting back and doing nothing. He's the conductor of the orchestra

If what you say is true, that's called being involved, which you guys said you didn't want. What happened to letting his coaches coach and him staying out of the way?

And why was there a need to keep morale high? They were beating the other team's brakes off.
