Can we get expelled because they don’t like us?

We haven’t done anything…only talked about doing something. What could we get expelled for? Seems like a big reach (with Georgia, Ole Miss & Texas behind it all)

I was wondering the same thing. Does the SEC and other members need a genuine reason to vote to expell LSU? All this talk of LSU doing nothing wrong is accurate, but is it relevant in this context?

I would assume this is outlined in detail within each school's contract with the SEC.
I would guess there are numerous protections for schools for being expelled without proper cause.

They declared LSU has lost all institutional control in a legal document because Kiffin made a sarcastic remark of how well we were doing without a single questionable player.

Nope. They don’t need to justify it. It’s why it requires a 2/3rd majority vote.

Conceptually yes. The SEC functions like a private club and members are allowed to decide whom they associate with and allow to be members. But all this seems so very stupid and at the end of the day it's a lose / lose proposition

They don't have to have a reason. They can just vote us out.
Most University presidents are "book smart", "adminstrative smart", etc. But, as for real life smart, they are really dumb. Add to that - sports. They could care less about it. They just do those fake smiles at sports events because that is part of their job and it brings in money.

The claim is LSU is actively undermining the conference (that’s the big buzz word which has language in the conference bylaws prohibiting)and fomenting discord by arranging these player lawsuits against the NCAA/SEC.
They don’t have a shred of evidence, and they are rushing to get the vote done before they have to defend that stance in court.

This is like the show Big Brother. If the other house guests see you as a threat to win then the other's collude to get rid of the threat so they have a better chance to win the game. LSU is the threat to win it all in the house of the SEC. Tex, Bama, Georgia are scared shitless of Lane with LSU.
