Nothing wrong with Sloan, that's why he's staying

Nothing wrong with Sloan? Do you watch the games? Dude is lost on game day and even his "scripts" to start the games are bad.

It’s Nussmeier. He doesn’t listen to the coaching staff. Also he is really terrible.

I really doubt BK moves on from Sloan, unless he just feels like Sloan was absolute trash.

BK is already on his second set of coordinators in two years.

Rees would probably be the replacement but it looks like he was #2 for the North Carolina head coaching job, if he's that well regarded, he may have bigger fish to fry.

I’m not an X’s and O’s guy when it comes to football but I do know we couldn’t get in the end zone when we were in the red zone.

No first rd. receivers, guard to guard weren't good at blocking their man. Poor execution can't be over come by an offensive co-ordinater

I think Nuss wants Sloan as his guy. Changing OC going into Nuss’s final year doesn’t make a lot of sense. If we struggle again you make the change going in to the following season.

True, but a coordinator should be able to call plays that lean on our strengths and mask our weakness. We had enough talent...

What makes you think he didn't?

Agree completely. Don't change it up now.

At that point it’s already too late. Kelly’s seat got warmer this season not because of Blake Baker, but more so because he promoted from within for OC when he should’ve gotten the best most proven OC candidate that LSU could get, and the offense struggled. Kelly can’t afford to have another season of bad offensive play and not sniffing the playoffs.

I think you might be right about changing OC’s for Nuss last season though. Continuity is key. Kelly will have alot riding on Sloan if he stays.

I agree that continuity is a good thing. Having said that, what's the point of being comfortable/proficient is a terrible offense?

I'm not a Sloan fan and I think he's terrible. If I have to guess how next year is going to play out, then my guess is that it will be more of the same if not worse.

Is the OL going to be better next year?

Is Nuss suddenly going to be a dual threat QB?

Will LSU suddenly have a power running game?

Is Sloan really going to change his scheme and/or call different plays?

And what about the WRs? Does LSU have a legitimate WR1?

Chances are that next year will be another wasted season and then there will be a new OC trying to break-in a new, inexperienced QB the following season, which will be another excuse why 2026 is not a playoff year.
