There is no comparison. Les’ teams brought it in big game season openers. VA Tech and Oregon would attest to this. That team last night was weak, slow and uninspired. When it got tough, THEY QUIT!! Down vote away because your feels are bruised, but deep down, you know it’s the truth.

How much time is needed, specifically? What I saw last night was not a team in year two under a veteran football savant making strides toward greatness.

What I saw last night was sloppy, unprepared, lazy football from CBK down.

No, last night can’t be placed on O. That excuse has run its course. Last night was squarely on CBK and I find it very, very alarming that not only are the blowout losses happening, but that he seems totally shocked.

Ask norvell. It took him three years to win 10 games.

It took Bruce pearl five years to take auburn to the ncaa tournament.

You think one fricking year is enough time to rebuild a football program? what about Kirby smart at Georgia? It takes time.

Actually had to rebuild FSU

By hiring Kelly at 10M/ yr, it says he will get things right. Now with a full offseason of coaching and recruiting we see the product on the field. Ed O didn't get skull drug in his second year by an underdog.

Some of you are so delusional about where LSU was when Kelly got here. This job was a rebuild whether you want to accept that or not.

I agree. Les didn’t lose OOC games, until the year he got fired

Les only lost to Wisconsin if I’m not mistaken in no -conference regular season games. He had to go though. Kelly needs another year to get the roster right. He took over a 6-6 team and Coach O left the roster in bad shape.

They described BK as “chatty” last night before the game while Norvell was fired up. And he had that same lost look on his face at times.

I don’t remember a les miles team getting its arse handed to it to an out of conference team, or ever really. Les miles was an elite coach his first 5-10 years here. Kelly still needs to prove it IMO.

This was last year's excuse and it needs to stay last year.

What do you think the roster looked like when Ed O took over from Miles? Miles wasn't exactly burning up the recruiting trails his last couple of seasons.

Kelly has had the luxury of the transfer portal to fill gaps. If he is the coach he was billed to be, he shouldn't have trouble filling a roster now in his second season. yet top LA talent has been leaving the state.

Elite team and personnel, and then get butt slammed like that first game, that's getting in the same area code with Miles.

And was being paid $4.5M a year. And FSU was in a way worse situation from having a prior coach who failed for years.

Re-read my post. I never indicated the rebuild should be complete. But that sloppy, lazy, uninspired football last night is inexcusable irrespective of circumstances or rebuild status.

We got our asses whipped in all phases and CBK seemed shocked.

“Brian Kelly isn’t in the same stratosphere of stupidity as Les Miles ”

4th and 1 from the shotgun. Give les Miles credit: he ran Hester up the middle at least.

Kelly is now the new “mad southern accenter.”

What's concerning is that this team returned almost its entire offense and looked like they hadn't ever played together.

Your right, Les had physical football teams that played with a vengeance.
