Let's see, back to back non winning regular seasons for the first time in this millenium.

Arguably much softer team than prior to his ascension to the HC job.

In general, the players seem to be developing much slower than prior to his arrival.

from my perspective, the answer is no. I assume that is true from the AD's perspective as well, otherwise I could not see him firing the guy,

What's the big difference in what he inherited and what he's leavinf behind?

Nah. It’s no worse off, though. He was basically Miles.

The attrition rate under O has been unprecedented. We are only retaining around 40% of our signing classes. Also, none of the highly rated recruits have panned out outside of Boutte. The others don’t even play. Evaluation of players and staff have been the worst it’s been in a long time.

Well most of our stars are transferring out or leaving. The defense is a mess. The offense is a mess. The offensive line is a mess starting a Harvard transfer 2 years in a row. We have 2 straight .500 records and 2 straight unranked seasons Les went 8-4 then 9-3 and was ranked 16.

There is no team identity we have no toughness and I could go on.

With Les we were tough running the ball, the defense was great and we were only a modern OC and QB away.

The OP said we were in better shape than at the end of Les’ tenure. That is laughable

We have had our two worst seasons since Saban and Title IX looming over our heads. In what crackhead world are we better off?

No, we can’t.

Aside from a major high point (2019), he’s leaving it in worse shape than he found it.

Hard to argue with any of that.

I can admit that he never should have been head coach here. He is a POS.

Oh, and this is one of the stupidest claims on this board in a long time. Orgeron has actively tried to destroy this program. So glad he is gone. Maybe...just maybe LSU can hire an adult as head coach.

I wouldn't say that, the talent level is definitely down.

I don't know. We almost beat #2 and #25 and we did just beat #14 with at least 6 starters out on D and our last 4 opponents averaged less than 300 total ypg even with all those injuries LSU had. Here are some of the guys who were out:

Ali Gaye
Joe Evans
Andre Anthony
Maason Smith
Major Burns
Eli Ricks
Derrick Stingley

You probably have two NFL first rounders just in that group in Stingley and Ricks. We were also without our best offensive player (a future 1st rounder and one of the best WRs in the nation). If LSU just has Boutte against Bama and Arkansas, I feel that we win both with how close those games were. He is that good and is our only WR that really gets separation.

We were also without Emery for the season, Deion Smith (who showed great potential) was out most of the season and we lost Bradford for the rest of the year at OL (and had numerous injuries on the OL). We also lost who some thought would be the starter at QB before the season in Myles. So if you had all the projected starters playing, the talent level would look pretty strong.

You can put a line through Ricks's name permanently. He'll be at Tuscaloosa next year.
