im an old timer but what would be wrong with several songs different at each game - surely there are enough up beat songs to rile up the crowd - think of the student section responding to a suprise song and different entrance - and singing/shouting along

You'll probably get some down votes, but I agree that I really liked the bit that Miles used to do acting like he was trying to hold the team back and they were swagging side to side like they were ready to tear the other team up. Also, it comes across as organic and not contrived.
Purple smoke/Purple Haze is not a bad idea as well as long as it's not overdone. The cool thing is that it would be at least somewhat unique/authentic to LSU.
Sandman? No. I'd want to throw up as a fan feeling pressured to bounce up and down and pretend that I love acting like I'm a VT or even worse a South Carolina fan bouncing to Sandstorm and need someone to tell me that I should get hyped up. No thanks.
Getting rid of the cannon and fireworks might make it more likely we could get Mike back in the stadium? I know, it ain't happening but at least we can still pretend that it's possible, lol.

Get rid of that shitty poem. Play some music to get people amped up. Flicker the lights. Make some emotion happen in those seconds. Half the time the team just walks out and runs through the band and people are still taking their seats.

For night games they need to come out to in the air tonight (Phil Collins). Let it go through a few verses and wait for the drum line....come out to fireworks ready to rip somebodies head off.

As far as I know, LSU doesn't have LED stadium lights that allow for quick off/on light shows. But a lot of stadiums are going to that style. In fact, I just saw that Alabama tonight unveiled a new lighting system in BDS that has multicolor integration.
Something like that would be cool for a pre game intro or touchdown celebration. Although it might work better in the linear light setup Alabama has along the top edge of that awning vs the 3 light towers LSU has on each side.

I’ve been to a home game in Blacksburg, their entrance is by far more intense than LSU.
