ast night the the atmosphere was great but the 100 sections court side refused stand, clap or make any noise.
id rather sit in worse seats because it's so stuffy in the 100s.

It’s embarrassing to have empty seats in the 100s. If you aren’t going to make the games give your seats up.

Old People. Dregs of society. Line 'em up! Bring in new blood!

I know as soon as I get my tickets in 100s in the next year or two (hopefully). I will be pissing some people off but I don’t sit during play, I make noise while defense is playing and I don’t care what other people around me think. I’ve done it a couple times when I’ve upgrade my seat. One time the group around me joined in and the other time the group wasn’t so receptive .
I will continue to preach if you want to sit the entire game move up to the 200/300 but you are detrimental to the atmosphere if you sit in the 100s court-side and barely acknowledge there is basketball game being played.

the few times i've sat down there, i got dirty looks for standing up after a marlon taylor alley oop. it's just not a fun environment

years ago, long before the luxury box era of TS they had a Purple Club and a Gold Club on top of the home side(top of the lower bowl,) I splurged one year to see what it was like(Purple was $50k plus tix and parking, Gold $30k,) this was during the abysmal Hallman/DiNardo era, the first game I was up there and we made a boneheaded play I stood up and yelled like a normal fan and the looks I got from all of the wannabe snobs in there was hilarious, wanted to get back in the lower bowl with the normal fans ASAP

My hope for you is that at some point after you reach puberty you will develop enough self-awareness to realize that everyone--including yourself--ages, and the fact that physical abilities diminish doesn't mean that enthusiasm diminishes. And even if it does, it behooves us all to develop a bit more tolerance than you exhibit in your very annoying immature post.

Have you ever thought that the plays in a game you thought were fantastic are only average to those elderly folks? (BTW, your use of the term geriatrics is misleading--I see few at Basketball games studying medicine). Also--perhaps many of the old-timers have reconstructed knees damaged by praying on them for young folks today to get wisdom.
I was just thinking of Pistol Pete--born in 1947--he may be one of those sitting in a seat with them--had he lived--at 74. Could you criticize him if he sat? And Billy Cannon, and numerous others? You owe a lot to those--why not get to know them and not judge?

I think this was intended for someone else, it's me and my peers that are being accused of being the spiritless geriatrics

You sure have very little respect for older people.
This is the generation that is pissed because successful people will not retire so they can actually advance in their career.
That's how shitty the thought process is here. Its always someone elses fault.

Cool think about this thread is I am starting to get an idea about the ages of certain posters.

Not sure what type of logic this is? This has nothing to do with dementia-ridden individuals forgetting how to cheer.

One day you'll be as old as them, and you might find it hard to find the energy to yell, as well.
They're paying for their tickets. They're at the game. If you want more, go find your own army of people to go and make the place loud. If more young people were interested, you wouldn't notice who ISN'T loud. Stop blaming older people for the lack of atmosphere. It's going to take some uncharted waters for the culture in the arena to change. The "Cameron Crazies" would not be a thing if Duke hadn't brought their program to the top of the mountain all those years ago.
Let's hope Will Wade can do the same here.

They can park and walk to the PMAC. They can walk into the PMAC and to their seats.
God forbid we ask them to stand and clap a few times. That’s wayyyyyyy to hard.

Don't move the goal posts. You said "yell", not stand and clap. They absolutely DO stand and clap. You don't know anything about getting old, do you? I'm not even old, and I know way more about it than you seem to. Because I have watched my parents reach their late 60's and early 70's, respectively. My dad is just as passionate about sports as I am, but for the last several years, he's nowhere near as vocal.
You sound like an entitled punk.

My goodness. We get a great tip in and a nice layup to follow and those old losers can’t muster up the energy to stand up and yell.
Bunch of Low T geriatrics. Might as well be empty seats - the energy would be the same.
Just a thought, that will probably be you one day.
If they enjoy taking in a game in person, then great on them.
