Surprised it’s not higher

Huge failures in Unranked games:

- favored by 21 vs Troy (24 pts from covering)

- favored by 7 vs State (37 pts from covering)

Strength of Schedule is 34th, so never challenged and still lost huge. For comparison the SOS was top 5 the past 2 years and top 10 since having the #1 SOS in 2011.

Last year has absolutely nothing to do with this year. How is that hard to understand?

Minkah Fitzpatrick & Harrison will be all over those jet sweeps. We have to establish a threat over the top early for Bama to keep those safeties back.

If they take the sweep away, they will pay with a deep play-action pass. I'm ready to see the screen to the left tackle for the score.

Alabama has been consistently excellent all year. LSU lost to Troy.

The spread will come down over the week as people bet on LSU.

Because Bama's average margin of victory this year is 43-10.

Bama dominates the line of scrimmage...our weakness is controlling the LOS. Bama is at home with fresh legs (yes I know we are also). They have beaten us pretty soundly last 2x in tuscaloosa. We lost to Troy and Miss. St.

Why do you think the line is too high?

Wouldn't this benefit LSU? He never had success against bama

1. LSU has kept this game close at home but the last two times they've been at Alabama, the games weren't even competitive.

2. Bama has separated themselves from LSU in the trenches. This is the weakest LSU line play has been in a long time.

'Bama has also had two weeks to prepare. So, how 'bout if they're just fricking better? Is that an excuse?

We should definitely be able to do that. Sounds like no problem

Dirty little secret...the betting line has very little to do with what the oddsmaker thinks the score or margin of victory will be. In fact..the oddsmakers release an opening betting line to select group of professional betters before we see any line. They then adjust the line. And they continue adjusting based on things like injuries or weather etc.

I don’t think a 3 TD spread is that ridiculous or offensive. It’s not really THAT much. The perception (of Bama’s greatness) adds 3 or 4 pts to the line automatically.

In the view of Vegas, LSU has not beaten a respectable opponent on the road. They've played only 2 teams ranked in the top 25. Got blown out on the road against one, and beat the other by 4 at home.

With Bama blowing out everybody they've played, it's easy to see where the spread comes from.

But----------you never know......
