(Long)

I get that Les wants to run the ball 60 times a game, whatever that's the philosophy he feels comfortable with...I think it's dumb, but I digress...

Why is there literally ZERO creativity in our offense? I mean hell at least run some misdirection or triple option or something.

You cannot make me believe that the peak mental capacity of this QB and team is running HB dive up the middle and straight go routes with Dural. It absolutely boggles my mind. It's not even old school football, they at least ran some wing-T and option.

Don't get me started on running I-form on first and second down, then switching to shotgun every single 3rd and medium. It's amazingly predicatable and easy to defend (hence 23 points over our last 2 games)

And depend on a perfect game outside of the offense? It allows you literally no room for error.

I'm beginning to wonder if the tin-foil hat wearing turds on here forgot that we had the lead with 50 seconds left. Despite that shitty offense, they did enough to give us a lead with less than a minute. And for the second time in a row at home vs Bama, Chavis and the defense bent over and took it. But everyone on here is too busy looking up where Tom Ritter's kids are enrolled at to remember I think

It's an offense designed to pick up nice yards on 1st and 2nd, and convert short-yardage 3rd downs. Wear out the defense and control the time of possession, while mixing in a play-action pass or two.

control the ball and play lights out defense. its pretty simple and it works as long as you can run the football and shut down the others teams offense.

The biggest flaw in the strategy right here

Against the best teams in the SEC/country? Yeah a perfect game is the expectation. There isn't much margin for error against Bama.

Hence why I don't understand it in this day and age. You put too much pressure on certain parts of your team. The QB plays scared for fear of his 1 interception or turnover costing his team the game.

Add avoid turnovers and that's the recipe.

While Chief's d did "bend over and take it" on the last drive, they also held Bama to 10 points up that point and recovered a fumble on the 5 just minutes before that. So I would say the D did more than enough to put us in a position to win

Accept it man. Just accept it. Quit banging your head about that which you can not control. Les ball is Les ball. When he has a qb he trusts he throws the ball around the yard. When he doesn't, he doesn't. Just sit back and ENJOY the defense and special teams and get some chips or take an extended shite when the offense has the ball. Mexican food may be your solution for enjoying LSU football.

I am glad they responded to the pressure on the pick on our 30.

Les Miles graduated from the school of Bo Schembechler. He played for him and coached with him. Bo's philosophy was the same.

You seem to be confusing production with strategy.

Correct in that LSU's offense played just enough. Alabama's offense did show MUCH more diversity and imagination than LSU's, which seems to be a weekly happening. I'd be inclined to say the defense playing lights out until the last did more to put LSU in that position than the offense's sub 200 yards rushing and 76 yards passing. But Chavis's defense did fall apart at the end when LSU had the game in hand just like last time.
