Don’t worry next week there will be some other name these people will be slobbering over. All you have to do to find out who it’ll be is watch TV Saturday and whoever wins will be the new hot names on the rant.

The hot young names at the moment are Campbell, Fickell….
That’s pretty much it. There’s no other young coaches in position to blow up. Napier maybe, but their only major game this year (Texas) they got blown out by 3 scores, and they’ve played close games against Georgia Southern and South Alabama the last few weeks. Meh

he has a son who is a freshman at UC and twin boys who are freshmen in high school at a prominent catholic high school in cincinnati.
he is a lifelong midwesterner and he and his wife have both said that they "aren't movers." their words.
rumor has it he is hanging on for either notre dame or ohio state jobs. if anything he'll be a candidate for the USC job as they just hired UC's former athletic director about 12 months ago.
lastly, don't think that coaches from the midwest don't recognize that there is a difference between how things work in the SEC and the rest of the country when it comes to boosters and recruiting. you just don't see this jump too often. who was the last coach to make this work? saban? that was a lifetime ago. meanwhile, bielema, butch jones et al crash and burn. you need to look for a coach who is familiar with and comfortable in this environment.

i agree and dont think we get him, but people acting like he is tom herman and fricking tards. Tom would beat good teams and then lose against teams he should beat. He also had ahuge talent advantage left to him, only stayed at UH for 2 years and never built anything.

Mike Bohn is USC’s AD, he was hired in 2019 from guess where….University of Cincinnati. He hired Fickel at Cinnci. I think there is a great chance he brings Fickel to USC.

People keep talking about money. It's not like he's making chump change to stay in a place he loves.
