Ole Miss offensively is a juggernaut, this was not the way to coach against such a team. Mianeiri had to be precise in his pitching rotations, he missed it by a mile.

This is a mid pack team in the SEC at best. Team bat avg is around .240 or so.

Actually the team was 4th in BA in the SEC.

Ok, what should he have done differently?

(If you say pitch Hilliard...)

Save Hilliard and pitching. Let Ole Miss Win. It’s their World Series. PRAY PRAY PRAY they send us to Hattiesburg and pair that shite with Ole Miss.

frick that, whatever regional we're in, I don't want to be paired with an SEC regional.

Because of injuries, and roster turnover, we're just mediocre in the conference in a year where the SEC is arguably the deepest its ever been. This team, like many teams under Mainieri, is in the middle of a spot where it is punching over it's weight. I'd rather not test that against an SEC team in the supers.

LSU is not mediocre, Hess, Sanders and Hilliard are pitching lights out now, and LSU has two solid closers.

LSU’s confidence was sky high, that’s what irritated many about the way LSU loss to Ole Piss.

I’m excited that Maineiri has LSU pitching so well. Not excited about his decisions to pull or not pull pitchers at times. Sanders pitches in the fourth, fitfth and six, use two closers for seventh, eighth, ninth and possibly tenth, with two closers pitching two innings each.

Woulda worked out for LSU, and everyone knows it, win or lose after the tenth doesn’t destroy LSU’s confidence the way this did.

You don't think this team is feeling confident being runner up after no one thought they would even make post season? Beat two of the top teams in the country to get to the tournament. These boys are riding high knowing they only lost because they were saving arms for regionals.

Pawl is the only reason this team was in the tournament. You are dumb and your wife is leaving you.

Pawl rightfully gets the appropriate credit and criticizm for his coaching LSU this season and in this tournament.

Maineiri has LSU pitching awesome, but many still lack confidence in his pitching rotation decisions during a game., which they have a legit gripe to.

Anyone notice the ignorance of some LSU fans, the weakness of this coaching staff hasn’t been erased.

LSU coaches get credit for improvement in pitching, it’s been lights out. However coaches rotation decisions during a game remain a problem. It is what it is.

And what weaknesses would those be?

I'd be glad to have a legitimate baseball debate with anyone on this board lol. I'm not gonna entertain the armchair quarterback shite you're spewing about one of the best coaches in America

What arm chair QB shite dumbass, Maineiri has a history of poor pitching rotation decisions during a game, they are well known. If we’re being honest, it’s been his biggest obstacle to winning another title.

Who knows, maybe this is the year coach figures it out. But don’t b***h at Tiger fans for being honest.
