Yeah I agree. You got to make the 12 team playoff at least that’s a no brainer

Our defense has been really bad for 3 years straight. We aren't going anywhere until this changes.

In the old days I would agree. Todays “market system” is so wacky —- it’s like you “buy & hope that you don’t get a lemon” each season.

Needs to be in playoffs next year. This is his team now. Defense will be better, I think we make the playoffs.

I don't care what the statement is, the answer is no.

It's not all so clear cut. Georgia, Texas and Alabama will have rosters just as talented. Clemson should be really good, especially at Home. South Carolina will be difficult, and you never know about Lane and Ole Miss.

Yes, we believe LSU should make the Playoff but all those other fan bases believe they should, too. The SEC isn't getting six teams in.

If that is true then it has been really bad for 5 straight years.

Total Defense

2020 - #124
2021 - #64
2022 - #41
2023 - #108
2024 - #51

Untwist your panties.

We'll see how the talent we got from the portal performs. There's a reason they're in the portal and it's not because they were All-Americans.

What we can say is that it's pretty obvious the program is trying to fill the gaping holes we have in the roster and are starting to sling money with the rest of them so the playing field is equaling out. Our portal activity should be evidence of that.

It should be expected that next years team makes the playoff and is perceived nationally as one of the teams that have a legitimate chance to win the whole thing. However, every bit of that expectation goes out the window with a prolonged qb injury, so tread lightly.

Not an excuse because some of this falls on him, but there’s going to be about 12 out of 35 signees remaining from the classes of ‘22 and ‘23 entering next season. That would have been your upperclassmen.

Rightfully so. He came to LSU to get the tools to get over the hump. He’s shown promise but ultimately shite the bed at every opportunity at LSU:

Wins the West and beats Alabama and has an outside chance at the playoffs in 2022…. Shits the bed against a BAD A&M team.

Has a Heisman trophy winning qb and record-setting offense in 2023… fields the worst defense in the history of the program and loses three games.

Reaches the top 10 in the rankings
after beating Ole Miss, first place in the conference, and controls his own destiny for making the playoffs in 2024… goes on a three game losing streak.

Dude is a fraud. There’s a reason why ND fans were glad to see him go.

If Nuss goes down, where does that leave us. QB is critical. Don't count your chickens until the eggs hatch.

But I'm hopeful we'll get another Natty in '25.

I agree. The young talent alone might raise questions, but we also took a BUNCH of good players from the portal. We should contend for the playoffs and championships every year going forward tbh.

You’re dealing with a board that still quotes a 350 joke that’s a quarter of a century old, calls for the band to play Neck that was only played for a few years at LSU and many that leaves games at the half because they’re afraid of traffic a few times per year.

It's easy to say that in principle, and yes, for all intents and purposes all excuses are out the window. You still have to let things play out. If Nuss goes out there and pulls a Brennan before the season starts and gets injured, you can't really just replace that. At this point, if the transfers all hit the way we think they will (they won't) and we get solid contributions from some of this recruiting class (we do every year) then on paper, I can't imagine us not being a top 12 team.

I am on the BK bandwagon, He has made mistakes in hiring, but he has corrected that. He has a pretty damn good staff right now.

My expectations- We should be a playoff team at worst and should either get a bye or host a first round game and be a legit title contender.

Can this team gell and have good chemistry? We will also need some good luck to win it all, most every championship team has had some good breaks.

We are talking about the excuses for losing next year. Not how long the clown will be here. The LEAST we should expect is being ranked #12 at the end of the regular season.
