What's the deal with Hanny throwing down a couple of hands ok poker at da boat. Doesn't Hawthorne occassionally try and pimp some of his painful CDs by singing in local taverns? What a guy does on his own personal time should be of little consequence. It's not like he's Snake Stabler whoaw had a DWI and needed Little Nicky to try and speak as a character witness on his behalf.

Hawthorne: great radio voice; looks like Mr Whipple from the old Charmin toilet tissue ads; below average understanding of baseball
Hanagrif: monotone radio voice; a face made for radio; better understanding of baseball than Hawthorne or Mr Whipple
My preference for baseball is Hanagrif. At least he knows what he's talking about and doesn't wonder why LSU scores 19 runs one game and can't push anything across the next.

Big Ben does the tv broadcasts (on CST or Jumbo, forgot which one) and he is great. Those two would be the ideal combo for baseball.

charles is really good at baseball .. with that being said, i just don't think he could do football or basketball ... both are just too fast for him and his voice cracks badly when he speeds up and tries to put emotion in it ... his style is perfect for baseball .... LSU needs to get with the 21st century anyway and have multiple PBP guys specializing in individual sports like other schools do ... the one man does all three system is very antiquated ... LSU doesn't have to pay hawthorne a lot of money because he doesn't have a college degree .. that is why he will be behind the mike until the day they put him in a box ..
