HELL NEAUX!
i was told here by a few posters that he would blow all canadas stats out the window.
we scored 24 by the offense in regulation against TAMU.
taking the defensive TD away from that game and the miami game and looking at all points scored in regulation E has averaged 27.1 PPG not counting all the crazy points in OT from short fields.
canada had 27.2
that IS not blowing him out the water.
still need all these stats updated also.
2018 #s v 2017 #s
5.08 v 6.19 - yards/play
333.7 v 411.1 - yards/game
3.91 v 4.79 - rushing yards/att
153.7 v 207.6 - rushing yards/game
6.8 v 8.8 - passing yards/att
180.0 v 203.5 - passing yards/game
115.5 v 149.8 - passer rating
31.9% v 41.4% - 3rd down conversions

He didn’t even want the job.
No - the stats don’t justify anything.
Yes - we could use someone better.
Gotta spend $$$ to do that.

Orgeron is a weak HC and he knows that if he brings in a stud OC his authority and ultimately his job, will be challenged.

Very true!!! Changing OC every few years leads to confusion and negative results!! Good call!!

Jordan Jefferson gave Coach E the secret photos.
Job is secure.

Nobody wants to understand this tho, everything on the offensive side of the ball was new. Players, coaches and coordinator.
And stats don’t mean anything it’s all about wins and losses... Hawaii used to pass for 500 yards a game and still wouldn’t get pass the Hawaii bowl.

Youth is not our problem at RB, talent is. This year’s group is the weakest in many years. Youth/experience is the issue everywhere else.

I don't know what press conference you're talking about, but he's not going to say he doesn't want the job when he was about to be named or was already named OC. Pretty sure he was essentially forced into the position.

Why now?: Last year I was hesitant because it wasn’t my offense. I understood. But I just had to tweak some things so I was hesitant to do it. But now it’s my offense. It’s my offense, my terminology. I was a coordinator for 18 years. It’s not the biggest challenge. The biggest challenge is the terminology and what you do with the team. I understand what I think you have to do to win with this team.

Well, the longer we keep him as OC the better chance we have at Alleva losing his job.... I’d be more interested in someone trying to justify what that guy makes....

It is blowing Canada out of the water when you consider the facts (which FB never does):
Sr QB vs first year starter
Guice and Williams vs career backup RBs
Chark vs Jefferson
3 Upperclassmen OL vs all new starters
Plus 1 Solid OL lost to the law
This team lost 90% + of its 2017 production and replaced it with inferior talent and/or inexperienced players yet scored 0.1 PPG less.
Never let the facts get in the way of a great story.

Why was that CEH pass held until we needed it to tie? We could have used it to win in the period immediately before that after they kicked a FG.
Or, we could have used it when we were down by 10, and then it doesn't work in OT.
See how that works, change 1 thing and everything after that is not known to be the same.

EL OH EL
more talent on this team than last years save running back. More receiver experience. The line was bad last year also. Gave up a higher sack percentage than this year. This years was supposed to be great !!! Keep moving those goal posts though!
Burrow is light years better than etling talent wise. Canada did wonders with him.

So much fail in this post. RB and OL nowhere near as talented. No WR will be drafted in 2nd round, like Chark. Burrow and Etling’s 247 recruiting ratings were 0.007 points apart.

No, they cannot justify it with facts.
Change needs to be made after early signing period.
He didn't want the job! Hell his contract is only 2 years!
